Big success.

1. New staff and we went from a losing record to a winning record with less talent.

2. We could very well be looking even better in wins and losses as we were very close in all our losses except LSU. Should have beaten Bama after leading the entire game.

3. New Year's day bowl for a 1st year SEC coach who took over after a losing season and no bowl.

4. So far recruiting is going great and looks like we may sign one of the best classes in a long time.

No, the only thing that prevented victory was you shot your wad in the 1st, and then couldn't do shite in the 2nd half. A safety bit on a double move, but other than that your vaunted offensive couldn't do shite.

So, we should expect all 5* Freshman All-Americans filling the AU roster at the end of the '10 football season?

I'd say it was a pretty good season.

The UK loss was bad.

The Ole Miss win made up for it.

Overall better than expected with a new staff and lack of depth.

Agree with this. Wish we would have played LSU and Arky closer.

ETA: We should have beat GA this year too.

I hope you do. Post it on your bulletin board if you wish......we played 3 linebackers and held you guys to 73 yards rushing. We had a two touchdown lead on you and the only thing preventing victory was depth. That won't be a problem next year.

It'll be another close game next year. You scored 14 points in the first 10 minutes and were outscored 26 to 7 in the next 50 minutes. It wasn't a depth problem as much as the offense stopped moving the ball. I don't know who will win next year but I doubt that we'll lose by 14.

I'm not going to go this far. Obviously you can say we could have beaten bama, but should have is a bit strong.

They are the better team this year...no shame in admitting that. But look at what we saw last year, not only how many times we lost but also how we lost, and compare that to this year and you have to be impressed with auburn.

I will say it was a pretty good year considering the circumstances. Beating UT, WVU, and Ole Miss were pretty good wins. The only loss that really still pisses me off is the loss to UK at home. I can handle losing to LSU, UGA, Ark, and UAT b/c they were better teams and we pretty much only had 13 guys to play defense all year.

So, by your logic, only points scored late in the game count?

Auburn would have been better off not having a 14 point lead? They would have won had they trailed instead of leading most of the game?

That's ridiculous and you look foolish for arguing that point. Auburn did what they had to do this year. If you guys can't stop what you refer to as "trick plays" then we'll just line up and do those again next year. I guess you better hope Florida doesn't make your "safety bite" on any pass plays. But at least you can comfort yourself with a "moral 3 and out."

We'll be ready for you guys next year and you know it.

Hard to feel good about finishing 2 and 5 but their schedule was pretty brutal in the second half of the year.

easily considering we only had 3 scholly line backers and 5 starting DB's out for the season ... AU will be back sooner than everyone expects...

I think that you guys will be good next year. You only lose a couple of key players this year and you'll have 4 senior linemen. I think the offense may struggle a bit the following year with the OL turnover though. Auburn should be a pretty tough game for everyone next year.

Well Defense wins championships and if AU had any depth on D at all we would have beaten you guys...call the scoring what you want to...if we would have had been able to have any type of rotation on D that last drive would not have happend....IMO...

It's hard to tell really. Bama just needed a FG at that point.

That's true at that point. But you guys wouldn't have scored a single point if we had our 2006 or 07 defenses on Friday....your offense is pretty awful.

Well if our offense is awful, then your defense isn't nearly as close to being good as you guys have been posting. Losing Coleman and McFadden should make you defense horrible next year.

Not my logic. What matters is the points on the board when the clock strikes zero.

Once again, if your aunt had a dick...she'd be your uncle. But if you want to play that game, if we had the '92 D out there, your O would have peed on themselves and left the field.

So you got beat by a awful offense?

YES! You guys really need to try to keep up.....we are absolutely awful on defense this year. However, as bad as we are, and we are bad, we held bammer to 73 yards rushing and only 26 points.

Good grief, guys. The point we have all been trying to pound through your thick skulls is that we aren't that good this year, but we almost beat the best alabama team in 17 years. Think about that.

That awful offense is one game away from the BCSNCG. Enjoy your showstopping offense playing the Badgers.
