re: Auburn's defense shut LSU down for the most part. 15 of 35 passing and 120 rushing yards.

Pointing it out as if you're happy about it does. And you know he meant it that way when he typed it.

the key stat was turnovers: 2 by AU and ZERO by LSU

LSU is the only team in the country without a turnover.

That's actually impressive.

LSU win the first and fourth quarters and Auburn the second and third. The key stat was that LSU went 12-0 in late third and fourth quarter scoring, and Aranda ‘s defense shut you down and the LSU offense did enough to win —- at Auburn. Sorry about that 13 game streak.

I think it should be noted that Burrow is not making bad decisions with his throws, just my guy or no guy placements. He only started working out at LSU and learning the offense this summer. He didn't even have a practice with the team until August 4th. I believe the completions will increase each week with increased chemistry with the receivers through more reps improved familiarity with the playbook.

Duh. They got one lucky long td and a td off a turnover. Then all the help from the refs.

Let's change the rules for you:
Any long play over 10 yards will only earn 10 yards.
Interception will be counted as a loss of down and play will resume from the previous spot.

Auburn lost to O twice in a row, both with double digit leads

Not to pile on because all this missed call stuff is senseless....take a look at the pass rush on Burrow at the 330 mark of the fourth qtr...DL hits Burrow in the Head after the pass...Burrow even motions about it to the refs. It is not a great camera angle but it looked pretty obvious.

I was surprised that LSU's OL held up so well vs AU's talented DL. As always, LOS play is so very important and LSU did more than hold their own on the OL. Their DL seemed to play a little better than the AU mediocre OL. Those were primary keys to the win. Burrow also made big plays in the passing game like vs Miami. It's not pretty but it is effective.

I'm impressed. OTOH, IMO LSU is going to have trouble when they play more effective offenses because they do not have the offense to keep up. Also, but for a few exceptions they just looked like a well coached team. And I'm a Coach O skeptic. Not that he is an idiot like some claim, but I'm surprised at how organized and focused they've been. Burrow has been much better than the numbers would suggest. Kudos to LSU and Coach O.

It really must eat at you AU guys knowing that Gus has now blown as 20 and 11 point lead and is 0-2 against Ed Orgeron.

LSU got all the help it needed from Auburn on that fourth down attempt for a first down instead of kicking a gimmme field goal early in the game. Those three points would have been HUGE late in the game. The refs could call PI on almost any play they choose and miss lots of it during games. A lot like speeding on the highway without getting a ticket. It happens all of the time. No one can complain when they are pulled over for it.
