It was a serious question. I just looked and saw some names but the article still said Long was calling the shots so who knows what will happen.
Need to find another Mangino.

ONLY in America and thanks to Auburn can you not win your conference, lose to the Mormons by 34 points AND finish the season losing to San Jose State by TWO touchdowns and then get your salary tripled to over $5,000,000. Amazing.

This right here. Something tells me Auburn will have buyers remorse.

I agree! Auburn is an idiot for paying that amount of money for the same caliber coach. But hey its Auburn!!

@ Mizzou fans with anything to do with SEC football.

I read an article about BSU hired a new HC. The BSU fans said they were very happy to see Harsin leave BSU. What can you say about that?

Weird to think this dude is making $1.25+ Million per year more than Saban’s first contract at Bama.

Harsin isn’t a failed nfl coach

Yes, Auburn is the high point of his career. Doubt the NFL would think twice about hiring him.

Like I said, that’s an increase of 25% in total compensation. Over a 14 year period.

What kind of change in your income have you experienced since 2007?

Soo Harsin's value relative to his peers is the same as Saban's was in 07.

This is like an Alabama fan complaining about tuition prices and somebody saying "shite, Harvard was charging that much 12 years ago!"

Saban should be getting paid about 1.5x more than Dabo probably, maybe Dabo should be kind of close, but he should be about 3x the next closest competitor and 4x the SEC average.

It isn't fair to the schools for other coaches to look at Saban's money when negotiating

That isn't going to stay that way for ever. Mizzou got a very good HC and a rare one that knows offense and is a very good recruiter and brought in very good coaching staffs and some are very good recruiters too. This is huge for Mizzou. You think Mizzou will still be so and so or bad? Not this time around. Mizzou fans have seen this past year and the recruiting class just took off big time. Most are very happy and looking forward to recruiting since that normally is filled with 3* players and very few or one 4* player gets signed. Not this time around. It is much better. I am seeing it too. Also Mizzou got a huge break to get the DC to go to Illinois and go someone better to replace him. So far Mizzou is moving in the right direction. That is all matters and will take a couple of good recruiting classes before Missouri starts to compete for the east again. Depth has been an issue for a long time and Drinkwitz have been doing a fantastic job so far. I do not get why you still think Mizzou will be the same no matter who the HC. So you are saying no matter who is the HC at Auburn they will be 9-10 wins team every year? LOL that is what you are going to find out this fall and in the near future as well for Auburn.

That is your opinion. I believe Auburn and Mizzou are going the opposite direction. Meaning Mizzou is going to be much better and Auburn is going to be like Mizzou of the past couple of years. Not easy to see that with the recruiting class to show for it already.

Why is that? Our coach is so shitty, yet he hired your coach twice. What does that say about Drinkwitz?
