Under Armour isn't merely a "shoe company" however.

I don't understand your business methods.

You are more than welcome!

Stop trying to let these apparel companies low-ball you.

Every team in the SEC deserves better in their own way.

It wouldnt' surprise me if UA went the way of reebok, bought up by a bigger company.

Good point. UA should make other things besides shoes.

My post was about UA's stock. It's not a "shoe" company. It's an apparel company that just happens to make shoes. But the larger companies, Nike and Adidas are considered footwear and apparel. Nobody buys UA for footwear though and that's a huge part of revenue with the other companies.

So the comparison to reebok is after Reebok started to acquire all the apparel licensing deals with the NBA, NFL, NHL, Adidas came in and bought the company for about 4billion. I definitely could see that happening to UA. UA wouldn't lose it's branding or anything but it is becoming a target for something like this happening.

I think UA will want to remain independent as Kevin Plank seems like a bit of a renegade who wouldn't sell out. I guess they did make a huge leap in shoe revenue with Curry. I'll bet they do pretty well in golf with Spieth. I did read something about how their growth is slowing, so maybe they are ripe for the picking, though.

I don't understand the Aubie Fox deal. Is this like a mini-Longhorn network?

And it's fitting for a 2nd rate program too

I can see that too.

Which is mainly the only I mentioned the comment about the footwear. I've seen a few analyst state that. The scary thing about apparel is being trendy and not having staying power.

And speaking of golf, they do make the best shirts IMO. I don't even play golf but love wearing their golf polos b/c I'm outside a lot.

I still don't understand why Georgia Tech is still with Russell Athletic.

They are the only program to still use that brand out of the 65 listed and are only making $2.3 million per year to do so.

What is the deal with that business relationship? Surely GT could do better than teams above them currently such as Texas Tech and Syracuse.

Careful, if you don't share that money, aggies will be frothing at the mouth and pitch a fit and leave your conference.
