What does AU have coming back on defense?
We lost Montravious Adams, Carl Lawson, Rudy Ford and Jonathan Holsey. Everyone else is back

Besides AU fans most people didn't expect much out of Newton

So true. Something that the rant conveniently forgets when Cam rustles their jimmies and they talk about $180,000.

Did you forget how your great transfer Marshall did @ LSU? Where the game will be played this year?

He did great @ auburn where Harris received his first start under Les Miles/Cam Cameron's offense, where you guys held all the momentum the entire game.

Things are slightly different in 2017.

What does AU have coming back on defense? I think AU will be able to score just don't know what they have on D.

Monty and Carl are gone. Two big gaps to fill on the D line. AU has great STARTING secondary talent. After that, it gets real scary real quick. LB core is going to be better. The D line has got quality for about 8 deep.

All that to say, if AU can hold serve with what they did last year on defense that should be good for two additional wins this year. Trade off the LSU result form last year because it is in BR and we haven't won there since 99. I think if AU had a better O last year, with that defense, they should have picked up wins against aTm and UGA. I see with AU's defense this year, that it could be a 10 win season on the high end. 8 win season on the low end.

I have a feeling that Aubies will be extremly disappointed this year. 15-0? Wow so Stidhams just going to come into the SEC and run right over all these great athletes in his first year huh. I'll believe it when I see it, until then it's all nonsense.

At first glance I thought the title was "Auburn will win CFB payoff" which seems more likely.

Well, they do have a chance, though the odds are against them. I'd be fairly excited if I was them this year.

Can the LSU fans tell us how to deal with disappointment?

Easy. Set low expectations.
Next question?

In my opinion we should. Ever since Saban instilled a culture of expecting excellence, most of us haven't been able to lower those expectations. Including myself. If it wasn't for that, Miles would still be here. Firing Les (too late even) gave me hope the admins would do something right and hire Jimbo at whatever cost...but they went cheap.
I expect cheap results.
