Also to be noted is that the last 30 years of Alabama's history is among its worst, while the last 30 years of Auburn's history is by far its best - and still, amazingly - the stats aren't much different.

Why doesn't anybody use the freaking search feature. It's like deja vu, over and over and over and over and over.
Why start at 30 years, why not 40 years to include one of Bama's most dominant decades. Or 50 years. Bama will run away with it then. I know, let's go back 2 years, Bama and Barn 1 NC each; 1 SEC championship each; 1 heisman each.

Auburn has been busted TWICE by the NCAA in basketball ALONE. Keep in mind that 99% of Auburn fans have never given a s### about basketball yet they been willing to blatantly cheat at it. How much more willing are Auburn boosters willing to do what it takes to make sure Auburn FOOTBALL is at a competitive advantage?? I think the next few months are going to show how deviuous, sneaky, and felonious Auburn boosters/fans have been to meet those ends

There's some logic to this.
Football has changed a LOT since the 70's. Back then there were no scholarship limitations and very few teams (Bama, USC, Ohio St, Mich, Notre Dame, etc) actually got to play on TV.
Also, the game wasn't very innovative back then. Teams ran very simple run oriented offenses and base defenses. Watch an SEC game from the 60s or 70s and it will remind you of your 6th grade team's playbook. The result of that simplicity was that the team with the biggest, strongest players and the most depth almost always won.
It's been a much more even playing field since then.

It is what it is. It's a fair comparison, but so are 40 years and 20 years, where Alabama would have a significant edge.

Surely you aren't delusional enough to believe that Auburn is historically a superior program to Alabama. Surely you can see this thread for what it is: a troll thread based on carefully, nitpicky criteria specifically selected to make Auburn look better than Alabama by including perhaps the best decade in Auburns history (the 80s) along with 2 of Bama's worst (the 80s and 2000s). Surely you recognize that.
Or are you seriously moronic enough to believe that there is even one knoweldgeable, unbiased person in this country that considers your program superior to Bama's?
