The SEC looks like illiterate f@cks with Missouri residing in the SEC East past a mere initial phase displacement.
Maybe so, but at least we can count unlike the Big 10 and Big 12.

West:
LSU
A&M
OU
OSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
MSU
Mizzou
East:
Auburn
Alabama
UGA
UF
SCAR
UT
Vandy
UK
I could live with that

Mizzou is one of three SEC teams West of the MS River. And they're in the East.
Which is why I said geography is still off. I'd rather keep rivalries intact then have it make sense geographically

Just until Saban retires and Bama hires Dabo.

The Big six are the powers of the SEC historically. If you realign the divisions based on recent success, you're going to end up with a disaster.

Could Lsu, ole miss and Msu live with playing only 1-2 eastern schools post ou and Osu joining and Alabama and auburn going to the east?

Why did you single those three out?
I would think LSU would be the only one with the potential problem. They'd have to end the UF series but it doesn't seem like a huge deal to many LSU fans

They will eventually return yes, but Vandy and UK will never attain the quality of play that A&M, Ole Miss and MSU have proved capable reaching. The chances of one of those three upsetting a power in the west is much greater than that of the opponents in the east. To hell with geographic locations. We'll take Vandy and UK and you take MSU and Arkansas then.

I am not driving to Missouri or either of the two Oklahomas either in that scenario. Would love to have them to strengthen our conference, but GA, FL, TN, KY, and SC are way closer States.
This crap is getting old. Auburn IS in the East. It is our location. We can't help that.
Please don't take this as a knock to SEC West schools. I love playing you guys. Fierce and respectable opponents!
But this whole Missouri/Texas A&M thing needs to be resolved or I am about to stop even making an effort to travel.

Ideally you have competitive balance, keep rivalries intact, and have it make sense geographically. I gave you easily the best solution with the current teams we have.
Personally I'd love to trade UK/Vandy with OM/MSU. Who wants to play UK/Vandy every year? No thanks. But OM/MSU make more sense in the West

I doubt Arkansas, a&m, Mizzou, ou and Osu would care as much as ole miss, Msu and Lsu would in playing Alabama schools every year. I would like to see an annual hog vol game.

In that scenario you're driving to one of those two states about 3 times every 14 years...
If you can't suck that up then you're never going to be happy with realignment

Our nearest SEC neighbor outside of Athens, GA or Tuscaloosa, AL in the SEC is Gainesville, FL...yet we never play the University of Florida any longer. I could make a two day trip (very early Saturday morning to late Sunday) out of that with a stop along Panama City in a heartbeat, and call it a ride. And, a nice game along the way (UF vs. AU) would be totally worth it.

I'm surprised more Mizzou fans don't show more displeasure despite winning the SEC East twice. As playing TAM as a West opponent and former conference foe is needed by them for recruiting angles(Chase Daniel,etc..)
Playing Ark as a div foe instead of as an across foe, the travel distances to try develop more rivalries and encourage the fanbases to build rivalries vs LSU, UM, MSU,etc..
Longterm, your just not not gonna have Mo fans and vice-versa East fans go to Columbia on the reg past this early Warholian curiosity in the day and age of 75+ inch 4K tvs, all the way from Gainesville, Athens, USCe,etc..
Best be trying to cultivate the closer proximities to the making of rivalries.

Playing a Texas school is not a prerequisite to recruiting Texas, and we are just as active in GA/FL.
I like being in the East. We play 4 teams for border states every year. Odd years are kind of tough with 3 long road trips possible, but even years only have one. Geographically , it's the best setup we are going to get in this conference and starting all over will not do anything to cultivate rivalries.

We get it. You're poor and want cheaper away games.
