He's a fricking dumbass with few resources. If he moves, he'll be arrested soon.
If he hides, he might make it a couple of days.
In the end, he's only delaying the inevitable.

Fight between some people at a party at apartment complex pool/clubhouse in Auburn lead to an idiot apparently indiscriminately opening fire and striking 6 people (1 current AU football player eric Mack and 2 former football players Ed Christian and Ladarious Phillips). Christian and Phillips, rumored to be attempted peacemakers in the scuffle were killed, along with a third non-student who may have been part of the original fight. Another person is fighting for their life at UAB.
Shooter has been identified, but has not been caught yet.

As long as this is the predominant culture on MTV, a class won't change a thing.
I watched plenty of 2Pac and Biggie on MTV growing up. Played violent video games like Mortal Kombat too. But never once picked up a gun to shoot someone.
It starts in the home. I had parents who had sense enough to teach me right from wrong. Blaming it on TV or video games (as another poster suggested earlier) is just misdirection from dealing with the real issues. And it's something that isn't exclusive to Auburn either. It's an epidemic of kids growing up that have seen and lived things no one should (i.e. drugs, domestic violence, etc) because of the people raising them. And there's no easy answer for it.
Sorry about the rant. Once again, thoughts with the Auburn family.

Chief Dawson said they found his car abandoned on Wire Road. Who knows where he's at. He could have gotten picked up or he's in foot. Hope they catch this bastard soon. Such a senseless act.

I'm not trying to be rude, but it has been recapped a dozen times, at least, in the last few pages. Save some nice soul a minute of their time and look back a page or two.

* Police chief: "It's sickening that these young lives were cut short. As a society we've got to learn the value of life."
* Chief Dawson: "The young men were having a party and, unfortunately, were shot. There was nothing (negative) as to their character."
* The US Marshals and Montgomery PD are actively pursuing leads. Chief hopes for arrest today.
* Police chief: "The only connection the Auburn football team has to do this is they are victims of a brutal shooting."
* Police signed 3 warrants charging Desmonte Leonard with capital murder today. He is "armed and dangerous," chief said.
* Xavier Moss treated and released. John Robertson "fighting for his life" at UAB. Eric Mack at EAMC for non-life-threatening injuries.
* Police confirm deceased victims: Ed Christian (at scene), Ladarious Phillips and Jamario Pitts (at EAMC). All 20 years old.
* Police in "active manhunt" for Desmonte Leonard of Montgomery.
* Three more gunshot victims: One at UAB in critical, one at EAMC, one released.
* Police: One person was dead on scene. Two other subjects died shortly after arriving at hospital.
* Auburn police chief Tommy Dawson: Police were called to apartment at 10:03 p.m. for "shots fired" call.

I wonder what's going through Reuben's mind...

@JHokanson: Sidenote: Ladarious Phillips was also an older cousin of current Alabama 5-star football commit Reuben Foster.

If anyone helps a man with 3 capital murder charges against him, they are dipshits too. He's got to be in total panic mode. I hope he doesn't do anything else stupid.

Yep. My only worry he was last reported on foot. He might still be in Auburn.
They found his car abandoned off Wire Road in Macon county. Which means he left the scene of the crime, got on 85 south towards Montgomery for 15 miles and then abandoned it. He's not gonna turn around and come right back to the city he did this in. Auburn is probably the lease likely place he would be at.

Are you talking about just being sad because your cousin was murdered, or are you talking about recruiting?

They sounded pretty confident they had a good lead on him. I suspect he will be arrested pretty soon.

Can't they triangulate his cell phone? I doubt he is smart enough to dump it.
They catch people over here all the time by doing that, phone does not even have to be turned on... I think.

What makes you think he got on 85 before Wire RD? Makes more sense that he would have gone to Wire Rd to get on 85.

Desmonte Leonard's grandmother, contacted at the address listed on Leonard's child-support documents, says MPD made a visit this morning.

Just seems fairly obvious what his cousin would be thinking, and I couldn't figure out why he of all people was mentioned. I would suspect he's freaking out... along with all of his other family members. So yes. It seemed a little bit like it was going to head into something else completely inappropriate.
