It seemed like a real possibility after 3 hours had passed. I had a feeling this was going to be the case. The Mayor looks like a complete moron right now. What an embarrassment.

I this is true, this is what they get for waiting around. You have K-9 units ready to go. They should have sent them up. More Montgomery boneheadedness. Has this been confirmed he was never there. I can't find anything on it.

I don't think dogs could run around an attic though. Sounds like they assumed he was in there based on the 911 calls and them misinterpreted other sights and sounds as confirmation of whet they assumed and wanted to be true.

Desmonte probably has fleeed the state knowing that all law enforcement was in that subdivision. Mpd, ABI, US Marshalls, FBI looks so terrible right now. What was in the attic? Hoax? This could have been part of the get away plan

Yeah I think the worst mistake was having the mayor do all of these press conferences. I know they had an idea that he was there but they should have taken the usual law enforement stance of not saying anything until after the fact. That's why you don't let a politician be a part of the situation. He has nothing to contribute to this...

Yeah that was lame.
I also want to know what exactly they "saw" on the thermal imaging that made them think a person was up there. All of this is very, very dumb.

Y'all know the worst part of this (besides not catching him)? The guy was out walking around free and the Police never gave any indication of that. They kept strongly hinting that the guy was in the house.

Exactly what I was thinking. The only thing I will say is that I won't judge the police and what not as hard. I don't have there information but sounds like they had a lead and were just trying to follow up on it safely. The Mayor was alla bout the circus though.
