This is terrible! God bless him and his family. I will never understand the black community. Once these kids come to college they just need to stay and never go back home into that environment. Their family needs to come to campus to visit them. It’s almost like they don’t want to see someone make it out of the situation they were born into. It’s very sad to see! I hope he will be ok.

We were there last week (Sat-Fri and came home friday evening. Spent most of our time in Siesta Key and hit a few other areas. (St Armands, Ledo Key and Long Boat Key)
Siesta Key had trollies that ran every 15-20m and are free. They have stops at all the popular places but the trollies shut down at 930.
Prayers for BB and family.

That sounds like a gang incident, when the police refuse to report some of the information. Or drugs are involved. Terrible and prayers for all hurt ...

The likelihood of getting shot at 3 am in that particular parking lot is astronomical compared to 3pm.
People never learn and most of us live and say in retrospect ''what the hell was I thinking doing that"!!
Of course, we don't all make it through these situations solely caused stupid decisions.

Look, probably every one of us that lives in a city of 50k or more knows areas that aren’t just more dangerous than others it’s a lot more dangerous. If you frequent bars you know which ones just seem to attract more trouble.

I feel sorry for the family who has lost one son and may yet lose another. I don’t feel sorry for the people injured that night, it certainly looks like they were looking for trouble and found it.

My Mama told me “Nothing good happens after 12:00am.” I have found that to be true. Prayers for all involved.
Did none of yall have fun in college? I don’t know enough about this specific circumstance, but kids stay out late in college, even ones who aren’t doing anything bad.
Prayers up for Brian to make it, and then peace for the family right now.
They also do not hunt or fish or probably have a day job. All 3 of those require most people to be out and about prior to 5 AM and its not unusual when hunting and fishing is involved to leave the house at 2 and 3 in the morning.

I had to rent a tow dolly Saturday afternoon and the rental place is in a pretty dodgy part of town. While I was hooking the thing up at 2 in the afternoon 3 different homeless folks asked if I could spare some change. I was done with the thing by 9 PM and intended to take it back and leave it but I decided being distracted, even for the few minutes it would take to drop that dolly, in that neighborhood at that time of night wasn't a great idea. I could take a pistol of course but who needs that kind of trouble when I could wait 12 hours and take care of it when folks are out and about and neer do wells who might have been a problem at 9 PM would be sleeping it off somewhere. Even at 9AM there were 5 people wondering aimlessly around the parking lot that required watching. You just have to use some judgment...its pretty easy to tell when you are in an area that is dodgy, Thankfully most people do not have to spend much time in such areas.

Guy is a convicted felon. Sexual assault against multiple woman, including his own relatives. Some people should just be unalived as they have no hope for rehabilitation.
