I didn't think he would be that good after watching the championship game (didn't look good to me), but he did have some pretty impressive showings in other games.
This spring should be interesting....Time will tell.

I think he will start...All I know about the kid is that he stole a computer or something and he had an awful showing while at Florida. I dont think he will have much success in his first year under Malzhan.

Everyone raves about his physical gifts, and I see the upside to that. Sure, he'll be able to run the option 5000 times better than Todd. Bu I think the most important part of quarterbacking is accuracy, and that's the one dimension in which folks haven't been singing Newton's praises. My jaw wouldn't drop if Caudle wins the starting job.

Awful showing as in having to be back-up to possibly the greatest college football player ever???

First of all Tebow is not the greatest football player in college football history...I was mainly refering to his awful showing in practice and his bad performance in the spring game. He was third string was he not? Plus he is a theif...

A) I said possibly (like Alabama possibly has 13 NCs)
B) His personal life has nothing to do with how well good of a player he is (i.e. Tiger Woods)
C) From what I've seen (which is only a few video clips from Florida) he looked decent.
To each their own I guess

Well I would not want him on my team...Tiger does not play a team sport...
No we do...You can go check out our trophy case. One thing that is definite is that we have more than you...

And you're right, I personally have 0 National Championships......anyways, that has no bearing on the topic at hand.
IMO Newton will be a formidable QB in the SEC

At the risk of getting off topic, I would like to see that 1941 National Title trophy.

I was just cleaning up your horrible flame attempt...IMO Newton will not be...

Cam throws a laptop with authority and accuracy. Better lock'em all down.
Seriously, I think he runs well and has a strong arm. Only saw him in mop up duty but was still impressed. Highly sought after in high school. Has big upside.

It will be interesting to see how he reacts to protection breakdown. He reminds me of Jerrod Johnson (Aggy) and if he reacts anywhere near the same Johnson does against pressure it could be a long season under Gus' system.

If he feels pressure he will tuck it and run over people. When I've seen him run I thought he ran as hard as Tebow. Dude is a serious load.

What like 345 yards passing, 2 TD's, 0 int's?

I am not flaming this kid because well he is a kid and I dont know him but his personal life will effect his ability to play. If he is making bad decisions off the field and cant concentrate on what is going on he will not make it at Auburn. Tiger is a bad example because golf being as mental a game as it is trust me if it didnt affect Tiger he would be on the course now. You wont see him until his mind is right and that may not be until next yr.

Are you serious? You are using those stats to compile how well JJ did against us?
JJ threw 58 times for 5.9 YPC. His best throws of the night were to Section 104, Row 9, at least 17 times. At the slightest pressure, he rolled left, he rolled right, he got his arse handed to him.
The tape is on the SECN. Your post is a joke.
