The latest development, which was first reported by WGXA’s Cam Gaskins, has derailed Harris’ plans. Per WGXA, “After Auburn coaches and staff took a second look at his medical records, they told Harris' father Curtis that his son could not compete in NCAA athletics while he was taking cannabis oil.”

Cannabis oil story

EVEN if this is true Auburn can request
a waiver on this kid for his prescription.

It's not that simple. Read through the story I linked. THC will not be given any waiver at this time. It is under review for now but is a banned substance and if tested positive could lead to ineligible ruling by NCAA. the young man had a choice to stop taking the oil or stop the seizures.

Yesh, you were being on the critical side acting like all Auburn has to do is appeal the banned substance and get a waiver. Nope.

Honestly with seizures he shouldn't be playing football in the first place, and I say this with experience.

Once again,is the OP link complete BS???That story is BS or Mr Harris story is BS...which is it?Obviously the multiple headlines in regards to this story were completely off.

quote:

“While the NCAA committee that oversees health and safety issues has discussed medical marijuana and CBD products at recent meetings, it has not recommended changes to NCAA policy,” NCAA media relations representative Christopher Radford said in an email. “This means that THC is still classified as a banned drug for student-athletes.”

Doesn't mean they can't grant a waiver for individual cases but that's obviously up to the legal.NCAA would lose this case hands down if it went to court BTW and I would bet they would grant him a waiver given the horrible publicity they're getting from this story IF this version is true.

Nope

What?Once again this is not clear cut according to the statement.

So the kid was taking cannabis oil since 10th grade and the AU folks just discovered this now amd figured out he wouldn't be eligible?

The thread yesterday was about the NCAA not allowing the kid to take oils.

Has that changed? Isn't the oil still banned?

So you're trying to tell me they recruited a kid as a preferred walk-on that it was widely known had a debilitating physical condition...

Just to fail him on his physical?

And that it had nooooooooooooothing to do with the NCAA and that evil gateway drug marijuana?

Doesn't fit your narrative, huh?

I’m talking in general. It was easy to read the headline at face value and believe it to be true.

...and that's what you and a ton of other folks did!..learn a lesson: Believe NOTHING you hear or read, and only half of what you see!

The thread was nothing like that!

I’m just obsessed with GusBus’s man titties.

Makes my johnie tingle every time I see him on the sidelines trotting to and fro with them jiggling up and down and to and fro.

Damn, just damn.
