Right, but he seems like the one guy on the staff doing work. Every situation is different. I'm just not trying to jump the gun here in thinking that the buffet of AU defensive recruits are suddenly back on the table like so many threads have.

Petrino is a no want - i despise him.
jimbo would be great, but can;t see it happening.
I say hire lou Holtz.....as old as Dye, about as understandable - but lou never lost his pants.

He is probably making just as much money as Auburn can offer, and he is at a great school in a weak conference. He won't leave that school unless he gets fired or goes to the NFL.

Can't believe Trooper hasn't been busted big time before. He was the dirtiest recruiter in the country when he was at Tulane. Would walk into the hood with wads of 100$ bills and recruit kids by literally paying for all their shite.

Plenty of reasons offered by auburn fans, most of which i don't agree with, but it has been documentd and we're at that part where the afternoon crowd starts repeating the morning crowd.

Fisher - Good candidate. Obviously he CAN win at FSU, despite that shite show with NC State. Good recruiting and the FSU defense is always pretty stout. I could see Fisher leaving FSU for Auburn.
Strong - obviously my favorite choice. Guy is a badass and that is what I want as a head coach for my team.
Petrino - don't see this happening unless we talk him into an OC role so he can bring his reputation back from shambles.

I'm sure it had been.
But I feel the more it is repeated, the more it is apparent that it won't happen.
Other 2 options are great choices though. I especially think BP as HC and yall keep your DC. Would make a great duo.

I dont' think it would have half the negative effect you believe. WOuld coaches use it...sure, whould it work, with a few kids probably, but not with the majority.
