Umm, lets see. We were better than both Alabama and LSU two of the last three decades. Better than UF in the 80's.
Yeah, you sure make a lot of sense.

That doesn't make what he said untrue.

How did you manage to notice that small logo over my Auburn signature and avatar?

You're right. He is only taking in to count wins.
Everybody knows there are more important things than wins. Such as moral victories, top recruiting classes, and witty T-Shirts.

Exactly.
And a little thing called Championships.

At this time, at best, we could be the 4th best program in the SEC, due to TN not having a coach and UGA's inability to get anyone to fill their DC spot. I think Arky is tied with us going into next season.
While we were better than Bama and LSU 2 out of the last three decades, and Florida in the 80's, currently they're ahead of us. Its not impossible for us to catch them, but we've got to keep making these strides on and off the field that we're making currently.

Not a flame, but seriously, HOW?
How does Auburn convince Alabama boys to go to them rather than Bama? Especially after Bama just won a NC.
Immediate playing time. And, based on the fact that Coach Saban has cut loose several players over the last yr or so to make room for studs could steer recruits to a program with a more stable footing. Meaning, that even if they don't start playing immediately, it is yet to be dtermined if Chizik will be the kind of coach to show them the door in a year or two just to make room for a better athlete.

You got to have a lot of confidence in your talent to play for Saban that's for sure.

They may have a higher ranking due to the fact that they can take 30+ kids in this class (back count to last year).
Would you rather have a #1 ranked class coached by Chizik and the barner bowling team (tiger prowl), or a #5 class coached by Saban?
Jesus....can anyone else say buzz kill???

im pretty sure the SEC max is 28...regardless of EEs or anyone counting back for a previous class...it is different than the overall ncaa rule ...this has been discussed quite a bit

swing and a miss...
Our early enrollees count back to 2009... explain to me how that'll effect 2010's rule of 28. BTW, they don't sign LOI's... they simply enroll and sign scholarship papers once on campus.

All I know is that it is great to be an Auburn Tiger. This recruiting class might seem petty or small to some, but a foundation is being laid on the plains like it or not.
