Fraternity brother of mine (senior when I was a freshman). Good guy, great at his job from all accounts.
Or, he is an undercover agent employed by the REC to finish off the Malzahn regime.......
Only time will tell.

Texas hired him away in 2013. Made it out to be a huge coup. Right after Mack Brown spoke out against having large support staffs. Strong didn't retain him. Was at Arizona State as recruiting coordinator. Didn't Auburn hire Kodi Burns from there?

Pat Suddes was a clown when he was at Bama. That's why Saban showed him the door.

Yea, Burns had only been at ASU for like a month I think.

Pretty sure he was with Saban at LSU, Miami, and Alabama. Definitely good at his job.

He was at Miami and Alabama. He graduated from Alabama in 2005 I think and then went and did grunt work in Miami (cut film and stuff).

Why would I melt over the hiring this guy? Does this hurt Bama in any way?

Saban holds Suddes in pretty high regard. He's hired him a few times.

Naw, it don't hurt Bama. You just need to learn to turn your a-hole button off sometimes.

There have been a lot of good recruiters and support staff that have come out of Bama in the last 8 to 10 years. A lot of people (who know recruiting) think the best one that has come from here that was trained by Marynowitz at Bama is Drew Hughes the Director of Player Personnel at Florida. I am told by people on the support staff he left here after graduation and went to UCF. Worked for George Oleary(same as Marynowitz ) an recruited great players for them (Blake Bortles) that resulted in a 12-1 record and BCS win over Baylor. According to his bio he was hired by Dave Doeran at NC State and turned their recruiting around then went to Florida and we see what happened after one year under McElwain. May be a good one to get back in TTown in the future.

I was hoping with some of the shuffling in the coaching duties, that Ed Marynowitz would be back in the fold.
