Come on man, Harsin has coached one year. I know this is the rant where trolling is the only thing that happens, but come on.

Makes you wonder why they paid Gus to leave for Harsin.
Because they have no idea what theyre doing.

Feel free to go look at the Auburn board and watch the comedy happening. Focus on the Mason thread and the Boise article on Harsin.
Make some popcorn and grab some cold beverages. It’s fricking amazing right now.

No dumbass, I just showed you the facts. With Gus, he put AU in position to win championships, but he couldn't build on his own momentum. Look at 2013, he was #4 in the CFP poll in 2014, but fell apart at the end of the season. Won the West in 2017 after beating two #1s in three weeks, but loses the SECCG and a Bowl game. In 2019 he knocks Bama out of playoff contention, but then loses a Bowl game again. Those are facts that dumbasses like you don't understand.
This year was full of lost opportunities and you hope that those lessons were learned. But I am sure you disagree. LOL

2022 and 2023.
How's it looking for Auburn the next two year's?
Seems Auburn lost some talent this year, but not completely barren for next year. 6-7 to 4-8 or 5-7.
2023 looks like a 2012 type season. Looking like a severe lack of talent for that team.
Is Drinkwitz going to be the better hired than Harsin? Time will tell. Drinkwitz is dealing with one of the worst rosters in the SEC. Vandy is last. Auburn isn't that bad. That is why Drinkwitz will need time to recruit HS players to replace 3* and 2* on the roster. I have been saying it will take time to deal with the current roster that doesn't have good backups and depth. We will see how it goes in a couple of years. I believe Drinkwitz may need 2 more years to get the roster loaded up on 4* and 5* and some high 3* players in order to compete with top teams. For some reason the Harsin hired wasn't a great hired to begin with.

Gus kinda' reminded me of Bobby Petrino. Give that guy a bye week - or a weak opponent he could cheat on during practice and work on other stuff - and he could come up with a murderous game plan. But his overall system was never consistent enough to bear up to the weekly grind of a power conference. Both guys were inspired play callers - but not necessarily program leaders.
I don't blame Auburn for making a change - I just don't know if they got any better with Harsin.

I'll give you that.
We'll see what happens in year 2 or 3.
I just don't see him as a legit SEC coach.

You’re a complete dolt with very little common sense and quite ignorant about sports.
Now hand your mom her laptop back and hurry off to bed, you have school in the morning kid.

No need to be mad about it. You can just write him a check too after next year and hire another WAC coach.
How many coaches are yall still paying currently?

Auburn to OSU is definitely a lateral move
Okie Lite is a step down; not lateral
if we were talking OHIO State, it would be lateral (or maybe even a step up)

Normally, I'd agree. OSU is a somewhat smaller program, smaller stadium, smaller fanbase, less tradition, etc... but with the state of AU football and the trajectory of the program right now, it might even be a small upgrade in job.
Auburn football is going to be in the wilderness for awhile. I think it may have entered Doug Barfield territory.

Gus needed to go regardless, no matter who we hired. It’s pretty simple.

Didn’t Barfield get out and try to recruit? From some of the posts in this thread it appears Harsin isn’t recruiting. Is he planning on walk-ons?
