The Auburn quarterback will be a guy who can count.
He just needs to be able to count to 11, not to 16,367. Just needs to count that all his guys are on the field.

I think Ashford is fixing to surprise a lot of people, the skill is clearly there and I think Freeze can get him over the hump.

Odd comparison.
Daniels didn't really "struggle" with the passing game, he just didn't maximize it.
Daniels and Milroe are nowhere close to being the same type of player.

Ashford and Auburn will look to the portal to add depth when Finley transfers this spring after he graduates.

Disagree.
This is going to sound really cliché, but if he would change positions (or just switch to baseball) he'd be amazing — no doubt he's one of the best athletes on the field.
IMO he's simply not an elite D1 QB. People have been talking up his potential since middle school, but his game is almost exactly the same since. He's always been the "next year" or "when he matures" guy.
Maybe I'm wrong, and this is when it finally clicks. And if it does, I'll root for him to do well. But I just won't believe it until I see it.
