I keep reading where you guys think you are going to be good this year, perhaps really good/SECCG good....
Where have you read that? I have yet to see a poster say that here without kidding. Are you reading ITAT?

Honest question, do you really think you closed the very large talent gap from last year?
It's a good possibility.
Offense:
We're returning 8 starters (lost Quindarius Carr-WR, Jay Wisner-WR, A.J. Greene-OT, Jared Cooper-OG, Brandon Mosley-OT, Michael Dyer-RB, Barrett Trotter-QB).
Defense:
We're returning 10 starters (lost Eltoro Freeman, Neiko Thorpe-S). Brian VanGorder>>Ted Roof. Our defense has no where to go but up imo.

You were not even competitive with Bama or LSU, and it's not like they got worse.

We had seven, SEVEN starters return for the 2011 season.
AU dead last among teams with returning starters

I personally think you guys just assume you were very good in 2010, but you lacked talent and coaching then, like you do now....the difference is you had a once in a half century college player that made up for your deficiencies.
I didn't realize Cam also played on defense and had a record of 28 tackles or won the Lombardi Award.

it's about the talent and coaching, and AU falls short there imo.
Chizik, so far, has exceeded expectations at Auburn. Did losing Malzahn hurt? Yup. I'm undecided on Loeffler, even if he helped Temple to a 9-4 record and their first bowl win since 79'.
BVG trumps Roof, all day, every day. This is a fact.

I see a very good year at 8-4...and a great year at 9-3 regular season, with a chance to win a bowl game to go to 10-3.
This is what most Auburn fans are expecting. Anywhere from 8-4 to 10-3.

Don't feed the trolls. They are in denial if they think Auburn will stay 8-5 forever with all of the talent being recruited.

While I agree with pretty much every Auburn poster I've read in this thread, I don't really care about the actual info. I'm just enjoying the spiderman memes.

By far the best AU 2010 video out there. Thanks for posting, I had lost that bookmark.

the day when there will be the usual 4 Auburn posters left saying anything on here.

No problem. It's one of the best for sure. I did have a link to highlights from every game but I've managed to misplace it.

They should be better on defense, returning so many starters and supposedly getting a better coach. I still don't know where they are going to get much production from their offense. They should lose to Alabama and LSU, but have the potential to win any other game they play. My prediction is that they will lose to Mississippi State, Arkansas, Georgia, LSU and Alabama. That MSU-Auburn game may have the same effect on them that it had on MSU last year.

I think they lose to LSU/Bama/GA or Clemson....and at least one of State, ARky, A&M,..putting them at best 8-4, but very possibly 7-5. There are a few good auburn posters on here, but the ms. garrisons and TT's make the rest look bad with their unrealistic bs. They keep talking about all they return....LSU returns about 15 starters as well.

The same can be said about you representing LSU fans.

Auburn is not going to lose to State. I'm sorry, but no. State lost last year, and we had our shittastic D-line under Roof. Auburn is sitting pretty at 60-23-2 vs. State. Also, Auburn hasn't lost at Starkville since 2000. In fact, @ Starkville, we're 12-4-1 there.
My expectation is 8-4 or 9-3

Could it be because we only returned a total of 7 starters last season? Nah. We're not that logical.
