Is Bo Nix coming back? Y'all couldn't beat a Houston team that played like shite.

No, we ran him off on a rail after last year.

That's the way it always works when a QB leaves your program. Right?

Did he start at Ohio State?

Or did they run him out of town on a rail too?

You're comparing Burrow, who shared a QB room with 2 great QB's, to Finley and Calzada, who lost their jobs to other mediocre QB's on their teams.

Cool.

Finley lost his job and any hope of playing at LSU. Calzada never had the job at A&M. So in those cases yes. Auburn has two reject QBs.

in b4 Burrow reference

Nah I'm comparing a transfer QB to another transfer QB.

If you don't think somebody could be better in one system than another or not improve year to year, then I'm not sure what to tell you.

I don't think either is great. I posted to call out your retard fan who said we had the worst QB room in the P5 while cheering for a team that doesn't have a clear cut star either right now.

Nobody here has said transfers can't work out. Burrow wasn't proven to be a bad QB at Ohio State. He never got an opportunity there.

We've seen full seasons and more (in the case of Finley).

We know who these guys are. It's not going to change by going to a program with less talent.

Yeah, Finley could be better. He still has a very low ceiling.

We have? He started 3 whole games at Auburn. How many did he start at LSU?

Enough to know he isn't the answer.

And no I don't think that highly Finley or Calzada. But Auburn also has two young 4* QBs that will be looking for some time and another 4* in the 2024 class for now.

There are a ton of P5 programs that would love to have that kind of talent. In fact every QB ranking I've seen in the SEC has at least 3 schools rated behind Auburn.

And before I get going on stars, 3* Calzada was equal or better than 5* Bo Nix.

So he hasn't started 2 full seasons? Gotcha. I didn't think so.

No.

He got injured so Haskins became the backup over him by default, Burrow never even got a look for the job because of Haskins.

He transferred out and Haskins became a Heisman candidate.

And you're trying to compare that to Finley getting benched in favor of Max Johnson.

Because he was a backup in both cases. I've watched him play for two years. No improvement. Still sailing passes, still can't hit short throws. Went 0-3 with 2 yards to go . He's terrible.

He broke his hand during a qb competition with a guy that went on to throw for around 5k yards. This was a high level competition between 1st round talents, and not really comparable to anything going on on The Plains.
