AU basketball is looking at NCAA sanctions

In all seriousness, though....that is on the women's side and not the men's right? I haven't followed the latest on the FBI thing, so I could be wrong.

I think he meant they were under investigations...or something. Like I said..I haven't followed it, nor do I really care. Just tried to find it, and apparently I was wrong. It does involve the men's team.

Person, who has been on Bruce Pearl's staff at Auburn since 2014, is facing six charges, including bribery conspiracy, solicitation of bribes and gratuities, conspiracy to commit honest services fraud, wire fraud, conspiracy to commit wire fraud and travel act conspiracy, according to court documents. If found guilty, Person could face a maximum of 80 years in prison. LINK

I'm not sure if the NCAA is involved, but if they are, and Person is found guilty, I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to think the basketball program could be in for some sanctions. But it would also not be fair to say that without adding that it is all conjecture, at this point.

You could win 5 basketball titles and it won't mean as much as 1 SEC football championship. That's life in the SEC

The answer is obvious, but tRant will never admit it.

Auburn returns literally our entire team next season, plus 6'11" former 5* top 15 recruit and Team USA player Austin Wiley, 6'8" PF Danjel Purifoy (who was considered one of our 2 or 3 best players with a future in the NBA along with Wiley and Heron), 6'9" 4* PF Babtunde Akingbola as a freshman. And all the LSU/ Will Wade fanboys will be pleased to know that after sitting out this season as a transfer from VCU where he started last season as a tFR for Wade, Samir Doughty will be eligible to play for AU next year. Doughty is already considered one of the most talented overall guys on the team, one of the better scorers on our team already loaded with scorers, and a great defender as well. I hear he's a bit of a mix between Mustapha Heron and Bryce Brown.

Neither honestly. Florida and SC will keep getting better so UGA will get a little tougher road in the future. We are Auburn, and it's basketball

Aren't NCAA sanctions meant to prevent schools from gaining an unfair advantage?

Explain how Auburn basketball gained an unfair advantage because an agent used our asst. Coach to try and bribe our best players into leaving school early?

Sounds like an unfair advantage against Auburn if you ask me. If anything we should probably be given a couple extra scholarships over the next few years and may be guaranteed postseason play to make up for the harm done against our team and our season.

And on first down, Alabama's Tua is dropped all the way back to the 42 yard line by a swarming Georgia defense. With a very shakey Bama placekicker, the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP is clearly in the Bulldogs' grasp. On second down Tua is chased back to the 49 yard line and throws it apparently up for grabs. NO - it is caught! It is caught for a touchdown!! OMG - Alabama wins the game. Alabama wins the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP on a miracle walk off the field play. Game over. Season over. The Alabama Crimson Tide steals a victory on a 49 yard bomb from inexperienced Bama QB Tua. The Georgia Bulldogs will once again go home heartbroken by an unbelievable miracle play. After 38 years of wandering in the wilderness, the Bulldogs must continue on their long-suffering effort for a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
