I watched them for all three games this past weekend. With the exception of the play by play guy not knowing the difference between a foul ball and a foul tip, IMHO they are one of the best in the SEC.

The color guy is apparently a former pitching coach and he really knew his stuff. While his allegiance was justifiably toward Auburn he was very fair.

Other than dropping two games it was good TV.

Well, a foul tip that’s not caught is a foul ball.

I know that......you know that.....the Auburn play by play does not know that. Someone should tell him.

A foul tip is also a live ball and a runner can steal a base on a foul tip.

Big difference between a foul ball and a foul tip.

I watched them for 1 inning on Sunday and their bias was ridiculous.

They made no effort whatsoever to be fair or balanced toward aTm.

I thought one sounded like Gabe Gross.

Here we go again. I get it, all of AU's broadcast teams are homers & you hate them...

Most people are bias towards the better team, it is human nature not homerism

Andy Burcham was the play by play guy. He is usually a third or fourth option to cover for Auburn. He knows the radio and tv side of the business much more than the sports side.

Mark Fuller was the color guy. He runs a baseball academy in Opelika that is top notch. They rountinely send several players a year to the college and professional ranks. He is also who I use to learn as a little league coach.

Gabe Gross is now Auburn's hitting coach and to me the difference between him and Doug Sisson (last year's hitting coach and current White Sox minor league and hitting coordinator) is staggering. The results so far are all extremely positive.

It's been a pleasure hearing this guy commentate on our baseball games. You learn quite a bit from him.

"Foul tips" by rule are balls that are grazed by the batter and caught by the catcher. They are treated as swinging strikes, and the ball remains in play.

People refer to ball that are hit back to the fence as "foul tips", but they are just foul balls.

Learn something new everyday. I knew you could advance on a tipped strike if it was caught by the catcher but I never realized the distinction between a foul tip and foul ball was dependent on the catcher catching the ball. I thought it was if the ball elevated above the shoulder it was a foul ball and if not it was a foul tip. Makes sense now that I see it explained.
