Duke is a REALLY good team.

The ACC is ALSO absolute dogshit.
The #2 and #3 teams in the ACC (a combined 30-4 in conference play) are 1-5 against the SEC.

They said Auburn's was 1.89 during the broadcast.

It ended up being 1.49 ppp. OM defense was #18 coming in.

Auburn is the only one that's proven it can win ALL the games its supposed to win.

Duke, Bama, Florida have dropped some games to "lesser" opponents (outside the top ~20ish on torvik)

Auburn has only dropped to #2 and #3

Thats the only thing that sets Auburn apart. Unless you are a final 4 team, Auburn has shown its going to win, no matter what you throw at them.

I'm also fully expecting that Yale bounces this Auburn team out early again and we are a laughing stock for decades.

Either should. But as we all know it’s called March Madness for a reason.

One off night and it’s out in the first round to Yale or Notre Dame. I think Bama is probably more likely to make a quick exit than Auburn given the style of play.

Auburn is #1 for real this year.
So deep in the bench.
Impressive

Tide06 -

How did Duke do against Kentucky?

They are a middle of the pack SEC team.

This feels like the kind of year where we're all going to lose to random Big 12 teams in or before the Sweet Sixteen

interesting timing for this question given where AU plays saturday. Zero wins for AU in Rupp in over 20 years.

That has nothing to do with this discussion.

He was using the Auburn victory to make his case for Duke in the SEC gauntlet. I was just reminding him that he left off the other team in the SEC that Duke played this year.

The one they lost.
