I thought they kicked their most talented player off the team?
Didn't he join the most greatest SEC coach ever at Arky A&M?

No, but they've all been beaten to a pulp by Jefferson and Lee.

Nah. Probably just blame it on the officials.

Cheeznips record in the SEC sans the Cam Newton year where a monkey could have coached AU to a 10 win season is....wait for it...7-9. He has a LOSING record in the SEC minus the best offensive player in college history and one of the most dominant college DL in recent memory. Let that sink in for a minute.

Now, as to why rival fans are so "juvenile" to call Cheezit goofy names...guess you missed all the posts from AU fans calling Saban shorty, midget, Nick Satan, etc, etc and calling LSU fans corndogs, etc. It's called good natured fun between rivals, but the fact that it clearly irritates many AU fans just makes it that much more worthwhile.

They will beat someone probably not named bama or LSU. Teams improving just not at QB position and defense isn't quite ready to hold good teams in the teens or lower just yet.

Possible, but tough. Clemson will be a close game, but I think y'all will beat them. MSU will be another tough one, and I think they will get you this year. That tough loss in JH last year really knocked their season off the tracks, and I think they'll be very focused and ready for this one in Starkville. That said, Auburn has a chance to be 3-0 to start the season.

But I don't see how this...

with a bye week after

helps against LSU.

it would be ahuge thing for us to get out of Sept. undefeated

It would be a huge thing for Ole Miss to get out of January undefeated, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

Seesm level headed enough so i'll try to respond in kind. How is this year any different though with the AU vs MSU game. I'm not saying they can't beat us or even that i think we will beat them, but every year the auburn game is the perverbial jumping off point for MSU. I just have no reason to believe they'll put any more or less of an influence on the auburn game than eveyr other eyar.

Is there a statue of limitations on rival fans using the g"remove the great player" routine?

I dont see ppl saying much about Tebow anymore so maybe jsut one more year of that.

If it makes you feel better I see it like that. There is a reason Urban bailed after 1 season without him.

Provided the Auburn defense is improved and the offense's late season malaise doesn't carry over, I think AU takes the puppies to pound town. If the offense struggles or the D isn't ready for prime time, AU might not dodge the leaping into the endzone bullet and get out alive this time.

Well it can't can't any worse. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it improves pretty dramatically.

All about QB and o-line play. both pretty significant unknowns.
