You’re probably right, but I still wouldn’t say Florida is a basketball school either. Anyone besides Kentucky in the SEC claiming they are really is pushing it.

Didn’t Florida win NCs in all the big three sports in 2008 or am I remembering incorrectly?
ETA it was Fresno State winning it in baseball. Still damn impressive winning football and basketball NCs the same year.

They won football/basketball the same year, but not baseball.

I immediately thought of Florida and their back to back championships. Arkansas is a track and cross country school if we truly want to be honest and talk about “hardware”.

The game was different back then, we had a team that stuck around together for 3 years. Came in and developed under Donovan to be one of complete most dominant TEAMS in NCAA history. The contrast is stark, this years bball team is comprised of idk how many transfers and I expect a slew of new players next year.

Florida caught lightning in a bottle with Donaovan...the gators have success in ONE ERA. Arkansas basketball is no Kentucky but is historically 2nd in the SEC behind the wildcats...The Hogs have more Final Fours than Florida (1941, 45, 78, 90, 94, 95) (IN Multiple Eras) TOP 15 in College Basketball in All-TIME Winning %. Participated in NCAA Tourney 33 TIMES. Multiple National Championship Games. 94 Champs... etc.

You made it past the first weekend for the first time in 25 years last spring. It’s kind of hard to dub you a basketball school right now.

Arkansas hadnt made it to the sweet 16 since 1996 until they finally made it last year. You all hold 2 sec championships compared to Florida’s 7. Arkansas basketball has been irrelevant for a long time and Florida no matter how you cut it, has 2 national championships. Credit where credit due my boy I know it means a lot to you to be second with Kentucky in basketball since you have never won anything in football but you need to slow down pig sooey

I didnt say Arkansas is a basketball school but we historically have the 10th MOST FINAL FOURS in all of the NCAA and we are one of 30 modern programs to win it all in (94'). Top 15 in ALL TIME WIN % and NCAA Tourney Appearances. Anyway...Yes Arkansas had a dry spell but the ALL Time win% speaks to our stabilty as well as the Final Fours in Multiple eras..... Arkansas Basketball is easily a Top 15 All Time program but no we are not a bb school (but we have a better historical resume than bb schools like Georgetown , Memphis, Syracuse, UNLV, Illinois, etc....We are simply a "Championship school" that has 50 National Championships.. 47 Track and Field, 2 Football (64' and 77' )1 Basketball (94')...In review ..Arkansas is historically a Top 20 Program in all major sports... Football, Basketball, Baseball.

Arkansas was playing in historic games like the 69 shootout and winning and playing for FB national Championships when Florida was trying to figure out how to be merely competitive. You need a history lesson. 1964 and 1977 National Champs new money clown....
