Kentucky and Arkansas are the only two basketball schools in this league. Produce some hardware and we can talk.

They act like winning one game three years ago grants them this unbreakable leverage as an overall basketball program.
Auburn made the final four that year and is killing it this year, but last year they missed the tournament completely.
There isn’t enough sustained success for them to call themselves a basketball school yet.

I always enjoy these threads.
There’s always at least one SEC school that goes on a 3-5 year run that “challenges” UK.
Arkansas, UF, UT, LSU, Bama have all done it.
Then they fade while UK stays on top. It’s honestly kind of fascinating.
We had a very brief 2 year run in the 90s. I wish we could do it again.

If my afterthought school in the middle of nowhere had been surpassed in the one thing it was good at by a historically awful basketball school located in semi-rural East Alabama

We’ve won the regular season title tournament title and made the final 4 all since 2018. You can go right on ahead and frick off. No one give a shite about Ohio State.

You want to talk about producing hardware then forget to mention Floridas back to back National championships in 2007 and 2008..Florida is second to Kentucky in basketball SEC wise not even close.
