It was just a well coached and executed play...no reason for the fancy words.
Ppl refuse to admit that Saban got outcoached in that game and that last play was a perfect example of it. They would rather conjure up fiction.
He had no idea that Davis was down there waiting or he would have put at least one fast guy to block.
That game was so close one play decided it. It shows how good both teams are. There were so many "Just abouts" for both teams
What if Bama does not miss the field goals
What if We don't give up a 99 yard TD pass
What if Marshall does not miss two wide open receivers for TDs
What ifs are fun but in the end, both teams played well and one team won by one play

JUST out of curiosity, and I'm just playing devil's advocate here...would you say the same thing about UGA? People want to say what you did about the bama game, that both teams were just so good and so even that it came to the final second.
Yet the UGA game came down to the final play as well, but people only say "oh, well auburn was really much better they just let off the gas".

Well one of these usually happens. The other, not so much.

I would rather play in the NCG and lose than not go at all. I could give a shite about sec streak. Anyone that says they would rather not be in the game if they lose is someone harboring a grudge against a team that is in it.

No. That game was never more than a two score game with 3 lead changes with ties at 7, 21, and 28.

We had a 20 point lead in the 4th. We did NOT let off the gas. We ran out of fuel and made some mistakes and AM showed that you cannot do that.

Right. Since when does rain hurt a run based offense.

I would say looking at it from the end of the game, you could come to that conclusion. But the game was different than the Bama game somewhat. Auburn totally dominated that game for over 3 quarters. To this day, I have no idea what happened to change things. We changed our play calling and let Murray get hot. That is never a good thing.
All year, we have gotten better later in the game and in that one game, we fell off. Its hard to just say Auburn is much better of a team because UGA did take advantage of us when they could.
I look at it this way, if Auburn played Bama (with the personnel that was on the field that day) 10 times, it would probably be a 6-4 advantage for either team. If Auburn played UGA 10 more times (with the same players) I think Auburn wins 7-3 at least. You guys were still too hurt to play with us and did a outstanding job in the 4th quarter.

Is that the only thing that ever comes out of your mouth? Every contribution you have always comes back to that word. It's creepy......in a homoerotic sort of way.

You can keep jumping into the big boy pool all you want and trying to make your point but nobody is going to give you any credit. Everyone knows the LSU game was a fluke and if we played you 10 times, Auburn would beat LSU 8 of the 10. You caught us in the perfect time and conditions and it worked.
You should just really enjoy the fact that you beat the eventual National Champions. Its about as close as LSU has gotten in a while.
