Why do you suppose that is? The NCAA issue or something else?

I don't know to be honest. Just in the last month they have lost:

DB Coach Charles Warren to UT
DC Gene Chizik to retirement
RB Coach Larry Porter to AU

Not a good look for Fedora

They also lost their DL coach Tray Scott to Georgia by way of Ole Miss.

Chizik only blows as a head coach. He is a phenomenal defensive coordinator and saw a lot of success as one at auburn, texas, and unc

I agree with that as well. Chizik wasn't a good HC, but he was/is a good football mind and coordinator

Chizik WAS a great DC but the game has somewhat passed him by. He is an average DC at this point but he is an incredible evaluator of talent and teacher, just not a great playcaller anymore. Pretty amazing that UNC had such heavy hitters on one staff as far as recruiting goes

Its about time we made a good hire. I'm not by any means excited about Chip. And the DB coach? Yuck.

That's not fair, honestly. He's a great DC and a great person. Some just aren't meant to be at the executive level, myself included. "Nice guys" usually don't bode well in those positions.
