If you had a choice which QB would ya'll rather end up with Zeke Pike or Jameis Winston. Pike is committed but he is OBVIOUSLY a pro-style QB and how do ya'll feel that his skills are going to translate into AU's spread. On the other hand Jameis Winston is by far the best dual threat in the country this year and displays tremendous athleticism. Try and not to be biased. I for one as an LSU fan would want Pike/Gunner Kiel more than any other QB in the 2012 class even though our best odds are with 2 guys that will most likely end up in the MLB.

He had 1,400 yds rushing with 17 scores as a JR.

That's obviously a pro-style QB?

I stopped right here because it is OBVIOUS you don't know what you are talking about.

Pike. He's a lot more mobile than people think, and he's just about the perfect size.

Pike, he will help us land another top recruiting class. I also believe that he will be the better QB and Malzahn will show again (see Chris Todd) that he can work with the talents that the QB has and get them to reach their potential.

Oh and by the way, it's not really up to the coaching staff who the QB is, it's a God thing.

Watching his highlights do you honestly think he is going to be an effective dual-threat in the SEC, a conference stacked with the fastest most NFL ready defenses in the country. It's not his size or decision making, he just doesn't seem to have enough speed.

If you're going to be ignorant, I would recommend you resist from posting as well.

I think both Pike and Winston could be sick in our O but I'm glad we locked up someone who we won't have to worry about an MLB contract with.

Pike and this notion he is not suited for Malzahn style O is silly. We need to be clear that what Cam did is not the normal Malzahn style O. It does not rely on the QB to run that much. Pike has plenty of running ability to get out of trouble and in return cause some trouble for the D with the threat he can take off. He will be a great addition to our team.

I'll take either. I don't know enough to differentiate between the two. Is Winston the guy that could get drafted fairly high? If so, I would be concerned with that in relation to his recruitment.

Exactly WDE. If you look at Malzahn's offense with Chris Todd there was much more misdirection prior to the snap than anything we did with Cam. In the evolution of his offense he has shown the ability to adapt his offense to his qbs strengths rather than being a pure system OC.

Pike rushed for 1400 yds against mediocre high school talent. I think he`ll do fine, but he`s not going to be much of a dual threat. Hes not much faster than Trotter, but he`s going to be bigger, stronger etc. He`ll have no problem lowering his shoulder for a few yards.
