regardless of who AU hires do you see Bo being the starter next year. It is pure speculation on my part butI dont see them hiring someone who runs the same O that AU ran these past years.

Nix didn't have the same O the last two years.

i understand that but the new OC was running Gus's offense for the most part with a few nuances built in. A lot of run heavy with an option component right?

Bo Nix is converting to slot receiver. His idol is not his dad, it's Hunter Renfrow.

It didn’t look a whole lot different to me.
I’m curious to see what Nix looks like with some better coaching and a better offense.

Bo will be the starter as long as he is at Auburn.

because he is that good or because of who daddy is?

I imagine the new OC or QB coach has a background in developing QB's cuz Gus couldnt develop anyone that didnt come into his program as a true freshman. His most productive QB's were transfers.

Either he will improve under a new coach or he will not play IF the new coach thinks he’s got a better option.

When Bo sets his feet, he’s better.
When he runs around like a wild man jumping into every throw- he’s inaccurate.

The 2 point play against MSU was a simple throw with feet set.

The TD to Seth against state was another set your feet moment.

He’s got to be taught protections then progressions.

There are coaches who can teach him.
If he progresses, he can be serviceable.

If not, he will go to Troy.

Bo has all the tools he needs to be a very good quarterback. He just needs to be coached into how to use those tools. He will be the quarterback at Auburn until he graduates.

I hope so. Because that means he could be there 3 more seasons. I'm all for it.

At the moment, he's by far the best option on the roster. Will the new staff help him progress? TBD.

Maybe Gus and Co. were not the best at QB development, but the kid doesn't strike me as all that coachable...never really had his but kicked in high school and seems to have brought an "I can can run or gun sling my way out of anything" mentality to AU...that can work in HS but not in the SEC. That's my impression anyway. Answers coming September 2021, maybe.

Physical tools only take you so far if the mind is defective. I don't think that Bo Nix can be salvaged. It's too late.

He needs a better oline and better coaching. If he ever feels safe behind that line, I think he can be good in most modern offenses.

I dont hate on anyone playing collegiate level sports, I admire them. What you said though friend was a rare breath of honesty.

Best of luck to you and the Auburn Tigers in the future.
