His body appears to be more than capable of handling the SEC. He’s a 6’1 and 220 pound QB that can run. He’s not going to break - he will deliver as much punishment as he receives.

If I'm Vernables, I wouldn't bet my career on if a kid can stay healthy if I run him 170 times in the season.

Arch is 6'4, 220 and most Texas fans would be extremely concerned if he ran the ball more than 70 times this season.

Dumb take. Just dumb.

Jalen Hurts is 6'1" 223lbs... Is he a short fatty in the NFL? Cause he played at the same weight at OU and Bama.

When I was younger and I played FB, I was 6'1" 245lbs. You wouldn't have called me a "short fatty" then.

Just a tip. Don't be a pud your whole life.

Excuse me but the “best offseason” spots at the table are perennially taken by Tennessee, A&M, or both.

You will have to find a different niche.

OU will be held back by their OL, WR and TE group. They are not good.

I don't agree. But we will see. OU looks average to below average at all those positions to me.

Don’t think it’s so much of WHAT he does versus the psychology that he CAN run on you at any time.

Then I’d say you’re not a very good evaluator.

Should Texas fans be concerned if Arch is in the game for 70 plays this season?

Nah OU doesn’t have the talent

Talent has not been a problem, when it's actually been on the field and playing to its potential. Coaching on the otherhand.....

argument is OU is getting bashed for being bad in year one of the sec …. People are acting as if that’s the normal for OU … 6 best WRs out with freshman qbs and a different starting OL due to injuries . Think every single OL was out atleast one game last year .

OU defense line is one of the best in country and its deep. Safeties are some of the best in country as well. Defense will be better than last year because of those two positions . Don’t see many people running the ball on us .

Offensively OU will be light years better with a more seasoned OL and scheme . Mateer is going to shock some do you about how good he is 8 games is a lock.

TE is the the only one and it wil be good enough …. OL will be much much better with the new system and how well we have recruited last few years . Last years issues were injuries and depletion of senior OL….the same thing Texas will experience this year ….wr won’t be hurt all year and we have some studs .

Don’t listen to these idiot Texas fans they were behind OU with 2 minutes left in 1 half … they know deep down what’s coming .

Venables is a meathead who runs full contact practices to be fake tough. It’s why they have so many injuries. Their WRs are mediocre or hurt. Santegna and Burke are jags. OL is jags. Two Gibson’s are medically not cleared yet. Venables will get more hurt running practices like it’s 1950.

OU has talent all over the field they just needed to plug some holes depth wise. You’re on here acting like OU isn’t likely to beat Texas, which statistically is just not the case.
