Mizzou wasn't a very compelling opponent.

Bama did their part to fill the place. Try again.
In 2008 and 2009, the crowd for fan fest was WAY bigger than yesterday.
I see 2008 as Bama had not been in a long time. In 2009, 1 vs 2 matchup created huge buzz.
In 2010, AU had not been in 6 years and USC had never been.
2013, both teams had better seasons than expected.
2014, I guess I thought since Bama fills up 100,000 every week they could insure the dome was fully attended.
I think the playoffs and the big underdog from the east killed casual enthusiasm for the game.
I attended and enjoyed the game. I was very impressed with the many spread elements Kiffin has incorporated into Bama's offense.

Mizzou sold its allotment. Problem is, given the distance, the more casual fan who might make a 2-3 hour drive isn't going to make a 10 hour drive. So beyond the intense Mizzou fan, we aren't going to bring many more, especially being a 14 pt dog.
I'm sure some Bama fans helped buy up that allotment.

No, they announced the crowd in the dome as 73,427 or some such number. It has always been higher. I saw numerous empty seats.
It was well attended, but not fully attended.

Scalpers are a big reason for the attendance issues.
I'm not paying 2-3x face value for anything.

"too" ... it's good to know how to use it.

Everyone knew that game would be a snoozer. I mean Mizzou. Really? A joke.

100% agree. People asking for 200-300 bucks for tickets can lick my balls

Bama fatigue is starting to set in.

FWIW, paid attendance was 73,526.

Incorrect. It was slightly less than last year (2100) or the same as 2000 but not the least attended SECCG. No moral victories to be handed out tonight.

My parents were there and they said it was closer to 90% Alabama. Other than that glob of Mizzou fans in the lower bowl there weren't any other large clumps in the building.
Nowhere near that. Last year Id say it was about 70/30. This year maybe 75/25

Much ado about nothing in my opinion.

I disagree, but I'm not going to argue about.
Bama had significantly more fans than we did which is no surprise all things considered.

quote:It's not really up for discussion. In order for Missouri to have 25% of the stadium, they would have had to fill up their entire quarter of the stadium. They may have had 50% of their quarter of the upper deck and 10% of their mezzanine. That equates to well below 25% of the stadium.
I disagree, but I'm not going to argue about.
