Good schedule. Pretty talented. Lots of experience. Play in the east.

How is TN ranked #8??? Really don't understand them being ranked that high

Media from around the country are determined to put UT in the ascending frame...sorta like they did with UGA for years until they really were proven to be fake contenders with HC who couldnt win tight games.

UT might as well print the shirts and save them for their grandchildren...as long as their mom Aunt Bobbi Jo Sue is cool wit it.

This is why. I like Butch, but I swear to god if he calls us a young team again next year...

Ole Miss is the better program from what I've seen the past two seasons (yes, even including 2014).

This will never be the case. You need at least 1 sec title in the last 50 years.

Tennessee is one of the most talented teams in the country. Talent wise maybe even top 5 imo

Butter zone.

I hate being Top 12. That could be my Richt letdown factor kicking in though...

Yeah but your HC's lack of big moment coaching ability rivals that of Richt

Based on what? I know it's not based on what's happened in the games. Cause UT hasn't had a quality win since the 90's.

He already got a question about what it feels like to finally not have a young team and he took it head on saying that it really feels good to have a veteran team and that everyone knows the standard and expectation and now they can just go focus on improving on the football field.

He won't be using that line at all.

I would say we are top 10-15 in talent, but top 5 is pushing it for sure.

Alabama
LSU
Ohio St
Georgia
Oklahoma
Clemson
FSU
USC

Are all more talented than TN.

Then you have teams like Florida, Auburn, A&M, Oregon, UCLA, Michigan and Notre Dame that are in the same realm.

We as TN fans are so excited to finally be fielding a team for the first time in a decade that isn't either talent insufficient or extremely young so we think that means we have the most talent in the country.

I'll give us 8-15 range overall talent which is light years better then the 40-50 range we were in 2013.

The reason why we are ranked 8th is the country is we combine that top 15 level talent with a lot of it having 2 years of starting experience and a pretty decent schedule.

10-2 is a very likely W/L record for TN this year.

LSU is losing that first game. But if you are going to lose a game, the first one is way to do it
