SEC coaches mentioned:

These responses are from "Who were the nicest coaches you met?"

I really liked (Georgia) coach (Kirby) Smart, (ex-defensive backs coach) Fran (Brown).

• (Florida’s Billy) Napier is a really good dude.

Coach (Kirby) Smart is a business guy.

Nick Saban. He was different than I expected.

I want to say between (Tennessee’s) coach Heup (Josh Heupel) and (Oregon’s) Dan Lanning. Coach Heup, down to earth guy. … He’s really nice. Off the field, he’s a nice guy. Good person and he actually cares about his players. He knows his players. His players can come to him, and I see that with my own eyes.

This is a question about weirdest most arrogant coach.

-Probably (Colorado’s) Deion (Sanders). It’s all love though. He goes about it in his own unique way. It’s not arrogance — just cockiness. (Not SEC, but you knew given the question someone was gonna say it)

• I’d say coach Saban. My mom wasn’t happy with him. We were at a table eating and he acknowledged me, but not my parents. My mom said, “If you’re acknowledging my son, you should acknowledge me.”

• I didn’t like (Nick) Saban. It was just the vibe.

• (Ex-Texas A&M coach) Jimbo Fisher. I watched him in practice. He yelled and cussed at guys too much.

• Fisher and Saban. Talking to Saban felt like talking to a robot. It didn’t feel real.

Schools that spent the most money on the visit:

Texas. We had a big recruiting weekend with a Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce out on the field. They took us to a good steak dinner right after.

Georgia. They’d drive me everywhere and bring me food to my seat during games on my unofficial visits. I went there sometimes just for the free chicken.

This looks like a paid propaganda piece for Georgia fans to cope losing to Alabama in Atlanta everytime

Generally speaking, if you are going to print someone else's work, it's a courtesy to link it.

It also will allow those who have a sub to verify that I'm not just making it up.

I'm sorry they didn't mention Lane.

As a courtesy to you and others who don't sub to the Athletic, I told you before you clicked that you have to pay for it. I would think of the amount we have on here, I'm not the only subscriber.

I didn't expect you to pay, otherwise I wouldn't have put the quotes about the coaches from our conference. If I thought you and everyone else would pay, I would've just linked it and not put anything from it out there.

Thank God. Seems like he's all people talk about in the offseason.

Take it from an older guy….as you age, you often find yourself unwilling to go through the BS.

I feel for Coach Saban. At his age it has to be hard to keep dealing with the parents these days.

I'm a Cloud Architect and even I didn't know this.

Learn something new everyday. I've been using Ublock to remove the subscription popup on pay sites by blocking cosmetic filtering and blocking large elements.

This is waaaay easier. Thank you.

Crazy how Saban signs all of these number 1 and 2 classes while being such an unlikeable character. It must be just the great University of Alabama and its historical relevance that draws these recruits. Just imagine what’ll happen when we hire a likable coach
