It's the same type of virus as the common cold and it will constantly mutate just like the common cold one does. It probably mutated 30 times in the first month alone.

The truth behind all of it is that people don’t wanna get sued. It’s as simple as that. If someone dies because they got covid from someone at their job or at an event they will sue the frick out of the company and win because everyone is so “virtuous” now. It’s really as simple as dollar bills yall.

And I must comply because - what, exactly ? I'll die ? I'll deny you my productivity ?

Dude - you like guns ? If you do - you should be talking me out of dodging the 'rona. Because those are going to be some great pieces bought estate sale cheap.

Ever had a taste for a used RV ? I got a great one. Gonna' be let loose for a song after I die of the Covid.

You don't even know me - you can't care so much about me that you don't want to get in line for those great deals.

Also, "my body, my choice" when it comes to abortions, but not our bodies when it comes to vaccines.

And hell, with abortion there is literally another body involved.

The irony - if you want to live in a free society - quit insisting on your freedom to not do as I say.

Anybody else catch that ?

Speaking of babies. Tell me how it's "My body my chioce" when it comes to murdering babies, but suddenly we shouldn't have choice over our bodies when it comes to an experimental vaccine for a virus that you have to get a test to know you even have to start with 80% of the time and 99.9% of the population survives.

I don’t think you can transmit abortions to others should you decide to get one… but maybe things work differently in Alabama.

Most people don’t agree with what the government is doing, but they won’t say anything publicly in fear or getting fired or labeled a villain. Also a lot of people just want to get back to normalcy, but when the government saw how many people didn’t go get their little vaccine they had to strip that normalcy away again. Numbers aren’t anywhere near high enough to limit indoor activities to vaccinated only (who can spread the virus still anyways)

"Conspiracy Theory" ranks right up there now with "Strawman". It's just short for "this is uncomfortable, and I wish it to stop".

We have folks openly advocating for showing a proof, a symbol, to assemble. To do commerce in the public square. Your piss poor attempt to minimize the observation of that is - well, poor.

Nice attempt at deflection, though.

Then those sporting venues will be losing a lot of $$$ because a large portion of the country won't agree with it.

And here it is - writ large. The brilliance of the narrative of Covid.

No matter how you feel about the 'Rona, no matter how you judge your own risk, you can't possibly do enough to mitigate HIS risk.

There is no limit to what you must do to keep him safe.

So you need me to get the vaccine because your vaccine doesn't work?

Meanwhile, abortion is literally killing another human.

I have no sympathy for those complaining about the inconvenience of wearing a mask when it can save lives.

They don't 99.9% of the time. If we are going to be data driven, we need to be data driven for everything.

quote:

People constantly getting sick and potential for more lockdowns can will slow/trash the economy, and it’s easily avoided from something as simple as a vaccine or a mask.

No, the government trashes the economy by shutting it down. For a virus for which there is already a vaccine.

quote:

In fact, you should want the vaccine and do everything you can to make this virus goes away, or else economic shutdowns are going to happen, it’s just a reality.

I don't get it. Is the economy shutting itself down?

Those of you saying that either the vaccine doesn’t work or that it isn’t anything but a cold or flu haven’t paid attention. I don’t mean watching the news, I mean taking a look at your local healthcare providers. I work in long term care at a facility with about 140 residents on any given day. I’ve worked there 15 years. Every winter we lose a couple residents to the flu, some years maybe just 1 other bad years 3-5. This past winter we lost 37 residents and only half our residents ever caught the virus thanks to stringent testing and isolation we never do with the flu. We lost just one staff member and about half caught the virus. Most of our staff is 20-25 year old healthy women most of our residents are 75+ with multiple co morbidities.

Our acute healthcare system (hospitals) is absolutely overloaded for the third time in 18 months. I have many nurse and physician friends who work in the hospitals who are absolutely exhausted and pretty close to retiring because they are sick of working so damned much and still being just slammed when there. All this with a disease that is about 1% fatal when viewed at a macro level. Yet the state senator who proposed the bill prohibiting anything but a literal act of Congress initiating any sort of mask mandate states he would happily agree to a mask mandate for a “real disease with a 30% mortality rate” which would exceed all but the absolute worst outbreaks of the plague in history.

Is it a biblical plague that will wipe us out? Not even close. Is it REALLY BAD NEWS for people in specific demographics? Very much so.
