I guess some guy paid some Alabama players.
I am not even sure we will hear anymore about it. I am not sure the defense will ask for more details at trial.
And honestly, I am not sure how any program can control this. Again, just my take, but it seems like he was paying players, for the most part, for the payout when they graduated not to steer them to a particular school.
The only exception I saw was Penn State, where he paid a guy to stay a year.
If players are ruled ineligible, does it vacate wins? It seems like that would be the worst of it and ultimately it does not change what happened on the field those days.

Nah. Think I’d rather the 2011 NC get taken away from Bama, Saban fired, LSU waltzes into Bryant-Denny and dominates, and wins the West this year. That would be catharsis. TIA
Jesus that would crash this board for weeks.
But in the real world you'll just have to settle for the respite this thread affords.

Tweet didn’t say Saban or any Bama coaches or paying them to come to Bama... big difference

I wonder if we can get the 2011 NC if Bama has to vacate it. If they are paying players they were probably roided up or modified in labs too. Frick it. Let’s take away all their wins and say WE won 8 in a row.

Ehh, it’s just day 1 of the witnesses. And Blazer will almost definitely have more to say at some point given his implications

It is well known that when a university simply reflects the attitudes of its football fans it is no longer a university in the true meaning of the word. Football has stalled the University of Alabama’s transformation into a modern university with intellectual, aesthetic or humanistic concerns. The reality is that the NCAA would actually do the University of Alabama a favor by handing down the Death Penalty for its football team. Then perhaps finally its faculty, alumni and students might appreciate the scholarship and learning that mark a university with intellectual fiber and integrity.

This is my last post on the topic. Couldn't care any less.
But you had so much to say regarding the Bayou Boiling?

We should get points for realism. Tides actually recede. Everyone knows bayous don’t boil!

im assuming Saban will be suspended until he agrees to meet with Bama admin
If the administration asked to meet with him and he refused, they would have no choice. Insubordination is not something easily ignored regardless of status.

To be fair, a drunk and coked up Stephen Garcia was unstoppable.
Actually that was the one game he was NOT drunk and coked up for. He'd just gotten back from burying his grandfather to play that game.

You act as if the two are mutually exclusive.

Where are the Bama posters claiming Saban didn’t cheat?
Again delusional....

Today from the college basketball bribery trial government witness Marty Blazer said between 2010-14 he paid from several hundred to several thousand dollars to FOOTBALL players from:
Pitt
Penn St
Michigan
Notre Dame
Northwestern
UNC
Alabama
2010 to 2014? That could potentially involve 4 Natties for Bama.

Some Auburn players received $20,000 I believe.
What was the NCAA’s response?
Your are off and the NCAA suspended one player for a year and the other for more than a year. Neither one had played in a game prior to their suspensions. Any other questions?

From what I’m hearing, this is just the beginning as it pertains to Alabama football.
Pay close attention to the news in about 2 weeks. There’s a flurry of activity happening behind the scenes right now that the general public isn’t yet aware of.

I'm just devastated.
Oh me oh my.
I sure hope this doesn't allow LSU to score this year.
