How odd this guy gives testimony where he made payouts between 2010-2014, 5 years ago. What made him stop making payouts the past 5 yrs? Did he just quit cold turkey or what

Here’s your answer:
quote:

Blazer agreed to work surreptitiously with government in 2014, when he began secretly recording phone calls and conversations for the FBI and offered the information under cooperation with the government. He is facing a maximum of 67 years in prison if he lies or misleads in the federal investigation and this trial.

quote:

Blazer is cooperating with the government in hopes his sentencing for multiple federal money crimes eventually gets reduced. He's yet to face a sentencing for his guilty pleas for two counts of wire fraud, one count of securities fraud, one count of lying to the SEC and one count of aggravated identify theft. When the trial resumes Wednesday, he'll continue direct examination from the prosecution before facing cross examination from the defense.

Oh I don't doubt it. I was just laughing at your comment that you personally saved a screenshot to your image server like you are some NCAA investigator. Some of you guys take this shite pretty seriously.

I don't think anything come from it in the end and if I'm being honest, I really don't want it to. Just about veryone in the Power 5 is doing the same thing and I definitely don't wanna see anyone looking into LSU's recruiting practices. Also, a pissed off Saban looking to bring everybody down doesn't excite me considering his relationship with Emmert.

Woodward's relationship with Emmert is much tighter than Saban's, so nothing for LSU to worry about.

Carolina had an active assistant coach, John Blake, working with the agents as a runner. And academic fraud with tutors writing papers.

Also, as previously mentioned, the NCAA has already worked directly with Blazer to nail UNC

quote:

The NCAA previously uncovered and investigated much if not all of of what Blazer testified to doing at UNC. The NCAA punished North Carolina by placing its football program on probation, banning the Tar Heels from a bowl game in 2012, stripping it of 15 scholarships and forcing UNC to vacate all victories from the 2008 and 2009 season.

Trolling aside, the above should give Bama fans and everyone pause on this actually being an issue

As recounted by CBS's Matt Norlander and reporter Adam Zagoria, Blazer said he paid athletes from multiple hundred to several thousand dollars. Blazer said he paid family members and associates of the athletes so they would choose him as their financial advisor upon turning pro

You are wrong. I already posted the information from the NCAA site

No, I'm not. As I stated, with no coaches or boosters involved, there is nothing for the NCAA to consider - unless there is a "pattern" that stretches into the current four year period.

Would this be similar to the Auburn players being paid?

If it's unconvered that one of our assistants was actively in cahoots as the intermediary between Blazer and the players then I'll get the cold sweats.

Its similar to alot of different cases of players being paid

Question is, as it always is, what does the NCAA do about it?

That's not entirely correct.

As it's been posted a number of times in this thread....it can go beyond the 4 years if the eligibility of a player is in question.

Im not saying you need to be panicking, but you have an individual who has already cooperated with the NCAA to bring down one program, now admitting under Oath he also paid players at your university

Its more than just "yaw yaw footbaw" trolling

Incorrect. It would need to be a player currently on the roster, per the NCAA website.
