Don't forget about Mike Price and his Bama credit cards.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Alabama coach Mike Price spent hundreds of dollars at a topless bar in Florida the night before a young woman in his hotel room tried to charge more than $1,000 in food and drinks to his bill, according to newspaper reports Thursday.

The university is investigating his actions.

University President Robert Witt issued a statement Wednesday night saying he and athletic director Mal Moore had spoken with Price about his "behavior in certain public settings and the appropriateness of that behavior."

Price, 57, spent time at a nightclub called Arety's Angels in Pensacola, Fla., on April 16, The Birmingham News quoted a dancer as saying.

Price, who was hired in December from Washington State, was in the Panhandle city for a pro-am golf tournament the next day.

"He bought me several drinks. I think he had three private dances in the back area of the club with me," the News quoted dancer "Destiny" Stahl as saying.

Stahl, 36, said Price spent about $200 on her, but nothing happened beyond dancing. In all, Price spent several hundred dollars in cash at the club "buying and tipping all the girls," she said.

"There was no sex, no touching, no lap dancing," said Stahl, a Brewton native and mother of two. "He was a gentleman."

The Montgomery Advertiser reported that the next morning, a young woman in Price's hotel room ordered more than $1,000 in food and drinks charged to his bill. The Advertiser said Andrea Wright, assistant manager of the Crown Plaza Grand Royal Hotel in Pensacola, confirmed that a guest of Price ordered one of everything on the menu.

Dale Peterson, manager of the hotel, declined comment when contacted by The Associated Press Thursday.

The Mobile Register, quoting four workers at the Crowne Plaza who would not agree to be identified, said the woman wanted the food placed in boxes so she could leave with it.

Concerns about the unusual order prompted the hotel to contact Price, who was listed as being responsible for incidental room charges, the Register said. The workers said Price returned later in the day and paid the bill after the woman left. She was not allowed to leave with the order.

Price, who is married, declined comment Wednesday on his actions, saying he could not talk about the review until the university released a statement.

Hours later, the university said Price's actions were under investigation.

"We are involved in a very deliberative process of gathering information, discerning what is factual, and discussing these findings with coach Price," it said.

Witt said he was in contact with the chancellor and university trustees and hoped "to bring closure to this situation as soon as possible."

The statement provided no details on the nature of the investigation.

The Register quoted an unnamed source on the university board as saying a meeting of the athletics committee would be held Saturday to review Price's situation.

Speaking in an interview early Thursday with the Birmingham Post-Herald, trustee John Russell Thomas said the reports felt like "another blow to the program."

"How bad is it? We can't judge that yet," said Thomas.

Another trustee, John England, said "what happens with the coach is the president's call."

Stahl denied leaving the club with Price, and she said she knew of no dancer who did.

"The club rules forbid us from leaving with people," Stahl said. "We don't do that. He's a good man who was here to have a good time.

"I don't see what the big deal is. He's like everybody else. He just wanted to admire a beautiful woman."

A playing partner of Price, Tuscaloosa businessman Larry Wilkin, said in an interview he saw nothing unusual the morning after Price's reported night out.

Wilkin said Price was early to the course for an 8 a.m. tee time and received a couple of calls while on the golf course, including one from his wife.

Please guys, please, please don't give the Aubies the satisfaction of posting on the "other" thread. They are just trying to piss us off. It is probably best that we don't even look at it. We'll see how long they keep it going if none of us argue with them. That being said...Go DUCKS!!!
Well, this thread has already made its mark and reached the status of "that other thread", keep up the good work.

Yea, don't link them.

Just copy & paste them and try to pass it off as your own logic.

That's how ATPBs stays alive.

Don't know if this was asked already, but did you provide a disclaimer before posting that any and or all may have no truth to it or something to that effect. By doing that you than can post whatever the hell you want in an SECr thread.

I wasn't referring to linking to other boards just meant writing really. Easy Roho take something to take the edge off. My post was done for pure sarcasm.

Has this been posted yet? It is about Bear and playing dirty. More to come about Bear cheating and fixing games!

The single incident that became a national symbol for the type of dirty football allegedly encouraged by Bryant occurred in the fourth quarter on a routine punt return on which Alabama's return man called for a fair catch. The score was 10-0 and Alabama was determined to pound the last hopes for victory from the Tech squad.

Georgia Tech's Chick Graning was running down field on punt coverage when he saw the fair catch signal. Thinking the play was over, he pulled up, temporarily dropping his guard. That was all Alabama's Darwin Holt, a Texas native and a senior who'd followed Bryant from A&M, needed to see. He sprung at Graning, throwing a forearm into the unsuspecting young man's face and shattering his jaw. Everywhere else in America, and especially in Georgia Tech's hometown of Atlanta, it was the story of the week. Graning's jaw and cheekbone were shattered, he'd lost five teeth, suffered a concussion and, since his nasal bone had also been destroyed, his sinuses had flooded with blood. The Atlanta Constitution ran photos of the brutalized young Graning lying in his hospital bed with his face smothered in bandages. The papers called for Holt to be suspended for what was, to them, an obviously late and dirty hit

NOW THIS IS JUST RUMOUR, I CAN NOT PROVE ANY OF IT.........
Rumors are everywhere concerning the NCAA and Gadsden City High School. They started last year with Jerrell Harris and have continued until today. I have seen pieces and parts of the rumors discussed every day on this forum, but I am going to try to recap what is being heard here.

1. NCAA has either already met with or has requested to meet with a coach at Gadsden City High School. His initials are (OS).

2. Three REC members in Gadsden have been accused of paying or providing cars (Dodge Chargers) to players in exchange for them committing to Alabama. One person is a Gadsden lawyer (RM), one is a Gadsden surgeon
(BD) and the third is a Gadsden business man (DC). At least one of these men is said to REALLY be worried about this being made public.

3. There are tapes of at least one car being given to a kid. Research shows that one of the cars was bought and sold four times in a short period of time before is was given to the kid.

4. A private investigator was hired after Harris committed to Alabama last year. This investigator is who is turning the info over to the NCAA.

5. Two of the cars given have been taken away from the kids.

6. The three men mentioned above are accused of funneling the money through the coach mentioned above. This coach also has a new Ford truck.

7. The offensive lineman that switched his commitment to Ole Miss after Fluker committed to Bama is said to have receive $20,000 from these men and then they tried to get it back after he switched his commitment
