Was really looking forward to Johnny crashing and burning ON the field. But cant say im suprised. The kid has been doing everything he can think of to be an idiot this off-season. He's like white trash that won the lottery and is going nuts with his newfound fame.

Mmmmmm, pretty much.

OR he's just a kid who has money and can't handle fame..also he doesn't have a strict enough family and also university family to keep him reined in.

That's the biggest irony of all, one of the most conservative uni's in the country can't keep a 20 year old in line. :smh:

This is an insult to "young kids"

Agreed. Manziel put himself in these situations. Most people understand the rules and can follow them. Johnny simply doesn't think many of these rules apply to him.

I've read an article or two but have been out of town for the weekend. What's the latest developments or just still the same thing?

Unless they find the money trail, he's got nothing to worry about. I doubt they find it...

I don't trust JFF. I think he's a shining example of how not to represent yourself. He'll, I e used him as an example of teaching my four year old son that bad choices make bad things happen.

But I do trust our compliance department. Hope they are doing good work right now.

Topic seems to have slowed down. 50 Pages in 4 hours, 20 pages in 13 hours. It's like some of you people slept on this story.

It's been reported as a flat 5 figure amount, which would mean at minimum $10,000. You don't have to have spoken to anyone to know that amount is "substantial" for a college kid.

Did the guy you spoke with know an exact amount, or was he simply referencing the reported "flat 5 figure" amount?

I thought Manziel was this kid with all sorts of family money. wouldn't need to work a day in life if he didn't want to. I heard it here on the rant, so must be true

Very much a wait and see stance. I think it's the only thing to do right now.
