It appears A&M may have a legal basis to sue in federal court any autograph brokers who contribute to screwing up Manziel's eligibility.
Going forward, there is no way any of those brokers say another word other than "no comment".

It's not going to happen. The two closest threads were the Trayvons thread and the Boston Marathon thread, both on the OT. They aren't going to have enough people interested to make it that long. I don't think they really know how long ATPB was

I know for a fact it was over 1400 pages long (someone referenced page 1401 on another site that I found when I googled ATOB), I don't know the specific number

This story dies with nothing but silence unless:
A broker wrote a check that Manziel deposited.
A broker with a picture of himself handing money to Manziel is willing to risk getting sued in federal court, and publicizes it.
The NCAA has no power to examine Uncle Nate's bank records.

speaking of JFF..Todd McShay said on the PF show today that JFF was grading at a 3rd rounder and that is not taking anything into consideration with his off field issues. Just based on talent from one year. With that being said you guys may be stuck with him for another year after this one if he does not get ruled ineligible?

Wrong and wrong.
How can they be sued in federal court? Under what basis? Why can't they say anything else other than no comment? I would love to hear your explanations.

Mr. Legal Eagle
A law was passed in 1987 regarding this, a federal suite could be brought in a Texas court.
You are not expected to understand it since unlike every other state, the laws in the backwoods you live in are based on coonass Napoleonic law.

Todd McShay graded the following QBs for the 2013 draft:
Geno Smith - 1st Rounder (result: mid-2nd)
Matt Barkley - 2nd Rounder (result: 4th)
Tyler Wilson - 3rd Rounder (result: 5th)
E.J. Manuel - 3rd Rounder at best (result: #15 overall)
McShay then proceeded to loudly criticize Buffalo for daring to disagree with his draft assessment of Manuel.

At this time last year, you know who Mcshay had as the highest QB for the upcoming draft?
Here's a hint 'BAMA plays him in the first game this year. Mcshay is terrible

I heard a talk show host on the radio saying the school would be suing them, not JFF. I guess they can sue them for messing up a players eligibility, it was something odd along those lines. It sounded ridiculous but the host went on and on about it and he was saying this is why the brokers will never talk. I wish I had paid more attention but maybe that is why it is federal and why they can have the trial in Texas?

I also heard on the radio today that JFF personally has to do whatever he can to get them to stop anyone but the school from profiting off of his likeness in order to maintain eligibility, which includes sending cease and desists to them and also sites like eBay that are selling his autographs. I thought it would be up to the school or the NCAA but they said at end of the day the responsibility is the players.
