They know they're right, and that the Manziels will never actually file a suit against them because they couldn't prove the libel. Because Johnny did it.
Actually, they don't have to be right on anything. It is incredibly difficult to win a libel lawsuit.
Hell, they CLEARLY made shite up about Mike Leach going on the word of employee Craig James and his son Adam who had to admit in open court all the shite about being locked in a dark room was was a complete fabrication and ESPN STILL got off without having to pay Leach a dime.

Not only that, but ESPN allowed Craig James to be part of the broadcast team for Texas Tech's bowl game right after Leach was fired.

This is timely as I took my missus to the doctor today and while sitting in the waiting room picked up an SI from October with Pete Thamel's article about Te'o and his tragic personal losses. Others waiting on the doc gave me weird looks as I laughed my arse off.

And suspended and publicly reprimanded Bruce Feldman for writing a book about Leach and that whole deal

I'm struggling to find the shitbag angle. Help me out? I know he's a homer and personally don't understand his hatred of Baylor, but what did he say that was wrong?

I'm assuming CG has been banned from TexAgs and has a burr up his arse over it.
Although, I will somewhat agree with him that Looch can be a bit of a condescending prick at times.

If you think Looch is awful, what do you think of Finebaum?
Posted on 8/8/13 at 3:50 pm to jrodan
Oh I don't think Looch is awful. I am still active at TexAgs.
I can be a dickhead too so I'm not going to fault him too much for acting like he knows more than others when he often actually does.
Finebaum however... dude is nothing more than a Skip Bayless style troll. F-ck that guy.

It isn't ESPN that has a bone to pick with Manziel - it's Schad. And he has various reasons for it we've been able to ascertain. Apparently he's gotten into fights with members of the Family over Twitter several times. He states that it isn't about the brokers being upset with JFF trademarking his name in Feb (when everything started), but JFF's actions over the Summer.
Really, this doesn't sound personal to anyone? The Manziels have prepared a suit against Schad from the RUMORS we are hearing now. As for A&M? The ONLY question now is whether they will play him anyway, because the NCAA moves at a snail's pace.
I don't think this is ESPN's agenda like my fellow Ags. It isn't the sips and it isn't Bama either - this is all about Joe Schad acting like a titty baby who had his rattle stolen

Ah, well CG should get over the first part if that's the case. I'm pretty sure Looch isn't in the ban-business. I think that's Leone. Though I don't really know - I want nothing to do with posting on that site. I do enjoy the radio show, though.
I agree on your opinion: He's a good recruiting analyst and reporter, but his homerism really grates on me at times, particularly with respect to t.u. and Baylor. I think he must have been gang-raped at a game. Hell, if he's going to pick on a particular school why isn't it Tech? Rhetorical question.

Looch isn't the problem - his sources and information are generally not. It's the people who run around that site kissing his arse all the time that are. I have a sub, but would NEVER post there.

Schat was made to look like a damn fool in the Newton saga that lasted damn near a year. He may be trying his best to get a scoop on something and push his agenda to try to professionally save face from Newton.
But if I'm an Aggie, I gotta question the Uncle Nate character in this whole story. That dude was a "hanger on" from back in high school, went on to follow JM to aTm and rode the coatails of a very wealthy kid that turned out to be the first ever freshman Heisman winner.
Uncle Nate saw a golden egg and he perched his arse right on top of it - just waiting for it to hatch into a big time NFL pay day. JMHO

Each story that I read on this whole shiteshow convinces me that the signings in question right now are probably not the only issues that will come to light. I kept reading post after post from dumb aggies stating that there was no logical reason for JFF to take money for anything...cause his family has so much. So if I'm to understand this, the dad who sells cars at a Honda dealership can afford to carry JFF's lifestyle (Benz, Rolex, party habits)with no problem? I call complete and total bullshite on that. I'd be willing to bet that the Miami cash was simply for the partying that he knew was coming. You fools had me thinking that his family had 8 figure wealth and I'm pretty sure that IS NOT THE CASE. That's the lifestyle that JFF wants to live/project. I just
when I read..."I bought him the Benz because he really, really, really wanted it and I didn't want him to do something stupid to get one". OK...maybe that was one more really than was quoted but it really really shows what his dad is about.

They do have a that kind of cash. Sorry but they do. Did John Paul make it all? Hell no, that shite is inherited. Doesn't change that they are wealthy.

LSU fans seem particularly upset/obsessed with this investigation, more so than any other SEC fanbase. Why?
