OK, I'm the worst.
But tell me I'm wrong........ Maybe you guys like this situation. I don't. One guy is single handedly trashing the perception of this university far more than ESPN ever could. Not to say ESPN is innocent, they are doing their part to trash us as well.

There are interesting things taking place. First, the hiring of the lightfoot firm. While I am sure this is a quality firm - this is a firm in Bama - home office - let's have a scotch and talk about all this boys. I mean that in its most serious sense, not metaphorically.
A&M has attorney's at its disposal that would blow your mind. Know need to explain. Dallas, Houston etc. lots of great lawyers. And proud texas aggies. Who is hired? Lightfoot. I agree - its the way to go. They can cut to the chase with the NCAA et al. JFF is a big player if he gets on the obannon lawsuit. NCAA store already pulled his merchandise.
Maziels are a scrappy unpredictable bunch. Like a honey badger. Mean. Tough. The NCAA best put that cage next to Kyle field, take cover, open it, and hope that mother fricker goes for the football.

Lightfoot was a great hire for the university.
They have experience in this nature vs the NCAA (and a winning record).
They have LOADS more experience than any team the Manziels can put together if they choose to attack A&M. I doubt that would happen, but it's a scenario that demands to be dealt with.

I don't think A&M -- institutionally, or from a legal standpoint -- has anything to worry about in all of this.

The fact that this is even a consideration coming from an A&M fan makes me believe having him on the team is the last thing I want, regardless of how good he is.

Yeah, it's not like as though anything has come out in the summer which would indicate that Johnny and/or his parents aren't exactly thrilled with A&M or anything...

It's a small part of my job to think of scenarios and outcomes. I also have a poor perception of his dad from last week's story.
