Paying them a little bit is not going to stop this stuff from happening. These kids aren't hurting for money while they are in college. They just can't all afford to get court side NBA tickets and drive a Mercedes with new rims.
If you had given Johnny an extra 500 dollars a month do you think this wouldn't have happened?

The dialogue in the video is likely enough to incriminate. And this story is still very young. Who knows what else comes out.

You're trying, dude, but no one wants to read all that shite. Paraphrase. Also, make your point. You've posted like 4 chapters of something. We aren't reading it. what point are you trying to make? Tell us that then we'll talk.

The broker has already recorded one encounter. It is logical to think he recorded the payment encounter as well.
He's also shown the video, for no financial gain as ESPN wouldn't pay up. I don't want to be at 9-0 and then have this guy drop the Fist of God right into our proverbial nutsack.
Right now it's about risk management.

Or what else the NCAA has for that matter

No. Kids get a FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION.
They do. And some random arse organization is literally making millions off them too. (Typing literally makes me think of that great alter).
I don't think there is anything wrong with evenly distributing half of that income, or even all of it among the student athletes for every sport. $500 a semester isn't shite. I am sure it would be gas money at most.

Exactly. Not only are the getting a college education, but they are also getting room and board paid for.
If you want to live off campus, the school will cut you a check for the cost of how much the room/board portion of the scholarship is for. This is enough to cover rent & food, especially if you end up sharing a place with other people.
If the players go hungry, it is their fault for spending that money on things other than what it was intended for. I know guys who would spend their off campus checks on alcohol and strip clubs and a few days after getting the check would be back to begging others for money so they can eat.
NCAA athletes are well taken care of.

What about giving players like Trent Richardson that money, who had 3 girls back home? More athletes are in his position that JFF. I just don't even see how the NCAA can call themselves a non-profit organization.

Not to mention their dining halls with unlimited free food

They already get that much and more PER MONTH.
You guys act like NCAA athletes don't get didly squat and starve.
Like I said - off campus checks, meal stipends of $36 a day when the campus is closed for holidays, etc., as well as pell grants, clothing checks of $250 a semester, vacation stipends when, for example, teams practice for bowls during the Holidays so they can go home and visit family.

Everybody, (pundits, SEC, A&M and college football in general) says it is best if JFF plays this upcoming year. If Johnny did do as alleged by these shady sources, and if there is a smoking gun to be uncovered, Our Administration and the new Law Team can negotiate a deal with the NCAA where JFF apologizes for breaking the rules, and is punished by having to forgo his last year of eligibility. In essence, stripping away his first red shirt year. Faces saved everywhere with the solution. NCAA can say they administered punishment for a rules violation. A very significant punishment, the equivalent of a seasons worth of suspension.

I'm not saying they shouldn't give them the overflow, but by time that is divided up across the board to all NCAA athletes then its not going to be enough to prevent any of this type of thing from occurring.

Yeah, 2 days and already 3 separate brokers in 3 separate cities have spoke up, one with a video that ESPN has watched (a video that at the very least confirms to everyone that there is merit to these allegations). IMO, there's more coming and the NCAA will get someone to talk, if they haven't already.
IMO, the NCAA probably already has enough to warrant a suspension, and is just building their case...and once they've built it, they'll try to catch Manziel (or A&M) in a lie....because if they catch him in a lie, then none of the other stuff really even matters anymore...because he'll be done without the NCAA even having to prove the other stuff.

They may rally around him like the Auburn player's did during the Newton investigation.
You know, I actually find myself amazed at how JFF has put Cam into perspective in my eyes over the last few days.
While I'll admit that Cam came across as incredibly smug, at least he didn't radiate this aura that it was all about him. That everything was about him, the way Manziel does.
Honestly, I can't see Manziel having earned the kind of goodwill from his teammates that Cam had when he was under fire.

Why not give the student athletes the hundreds of millions of dollars the NCAA earn? Who else does that money belong to? Where should the $837.7 million in income go to? Cause with the exception of creating scholarships for the needy or donating that money, no one else deserves it.
