Figured if I linked it you can bookmark it for later to:
A. Look up the "big words" you may have trouble with
B. print out the pics to put in your "Bama Room"

As a LSU fan, I hope that he can just pay back the money or donate it to some charity and be cleared to pay. If Auburn can get away with out bidding Miss. State for Cam Newton and coming into La. and buying players away from LSU.

That proof enough? Huh? Well, is it?

It will be interesting to see if Johnny and his manager open up their bank records... that saved us.. as long as it was all cash and there is no paper trail, they will be OK. If Johnny has a 5 figure unexplained deposit around that same time, his parents better be able to show where the money came from.
The NCAA doesn't have subpoena power.

they may gain it in discovery since TAMU has retained lawyers in this matter. Would be contingent on somebody actually filing a suit however.

They have the power to declare Uncle Douche an agent, though, which I would be sincerely concerned about at this point.
I have a sneaking suspicion that his role in this will come more and more into play.

ask Georgia Tech about what happens when you don't cooperate and become obstructionist.

This. You don't have to give them anything. By the same token, they don't have to let you play.

exactly, if you fall under the NCAA umbrella, you must release any info they request, otherwise you will no longer be under the NCAA umbrella. right now they are trying to say the assistant falls under that, since he was an employee.

The NCAA does need subpoena power but they say for us to close this investigation early we need to see the bank records and if not they can drag this out and rule him in eligible until then.
But the family is smart and already dropping the Newton card. Johnny did not know this was all his best friend so he will be in the clear.

By demanding payment for autographs, the NCAA may also declare the assistant an agent.
Care to wager whether Uncle Nate is registered with the state of Texas as a sports agent?

kind of hard to play that card when you complete the contract by doing something you normally wouldn't.

This wouldn't surprise me. But whether anything actually happens besides allegations and speculation remains to be seen. The timing of this thing, since it allegedly occurred back in January, makes me wonder whether it's more about television ratings and manipulating odds in Vegas than anything else...kind of like ESPN's version of "wag the dog"...but I guess we'll see.

Seriously. He and Uncle Agent met a memorabilia broker... at an airport... in South Florida... after Uncle Agent told another broker months earlier that autographs held a price tag... and signed HUNDREDS of autographs...
...and "didn't know?"
