Wade had given them assurances of what was and wasn’t on the tape. And he lied. Oddly enough, when you lie to your boss in a manner which brings great attention to the business in a negative sense, the boss becomes displeased.

Oddly enough, all of that is a fabrication you, and others, have created. Try sticking to what has actually and verifiably happened and then you won’t sound like an ignorant buffoon.

I’d love for you to show me, with proof mind you, what lie Will Wade told to Joe Alleva. This isn’t the part where you try to assume what was said or not said behind closed doors. This also isn’t the part where you pull narratives that have been spun on the internet. This is where you show me, specifically, the lie Will Wade told. (PS, you can’t)

The ONLY quote that can be pulled from Will Wade on the matter is that he has never done business with Dawkins. Now prove to me that’s a lie or prove to me he told Alleva something different or more. Btw, Alleva didn’t say Wade was suspended for lying to him either. But you do you, pal.

Love the downvotes without a reply. I know it’s tough being wrong, but I’m all ears

Imagine saying LSU is a sweet 16 team back in October/november and saying LSU is a borderline top 15 team.

There’s no good explanation why Alleva took the unprecedented step of having an NCAA representative at the proposed meeting between Alleva and Wade. I’d guess Alleva had more than 2 direct lies from Wade with regards to the Yahoo story before he invites in the NCAA rep. Wade can’t lie with impunity to the NCAA. That’s why he didn’t go.

Of course this is all supposition. We’re not insiders. It’s a sports forum. If you have a better alternate supposition, feel free to post it. But pretending the “strong arse offer” is a scholarship is hilarious and we all know it. Move a little towards reality.

Well, he could but only if he believes they won't be able to prove he's lying.

Clearly, his lawyers have advised him that for now it would best to say as little as possible.

Kinda like Nike's lawyers right about now.

Defining "business" is getting awful Clintonian here.

"I did not conduct 'business' with that man, Mr. Dawkins."

Was he personal friends with Dawkins?

"Business" would probably be an offer to do something, and consideration for that offer (payment).

There was a really good article posted a while back about how schools break the rules. Seeing the benefit isn't the problem. Seeing the paper trail is the problem.

Looks like Wade was conducting some different bidness earlier this week:

SPOTTED: #LSU Basketball Coach Will Wade, who is still technically on suspension, was seen eating lunch Sunday afternoon with a member of the university’s Board of Supervisors. The two dined outside of Baton Rouge, meeting at an out of the way restaurant. #LaLege

That's really irrelevant; unless you're a proponent of guilt by association.

Not in the slightest. If he wasnt a personal friend of his, why did have a lot of interaction with him? Wades job is basketball, so is dawkins, so if they werent friends, but they interacted together constantly, what was that interaction about? basketball, recruiting, etcc? Sounds like business to me...

Richard Lipsey is 100% in Wade's corner. He's an exceptionally wealthy and very well connected man. Founded TAF and is one is LSU's single largest donors.

I've no doubt he knows all of LSU's skeletons in the closet and he no doubt has all the information on Wade and Dawkins. If he's coming out so publicly and hard for Wade, I'm inclined to believe Wade will remain at LSU.

And Joe Alleva is 100% in this man's cross hairs.
