Dude, no. So many southern novels better than that. Faulkner is way overrated by literary snobs. Walker Percy, Eudora Welty - shoot, I'd take John Kennedy O'toole over Faulkner on the strength of his one and only.
But like Quicksilver posted in a thread about LSU-Bama, What does this have to do with Ole Miss getting the hammer?

The same folks that were cheering Ole Miss on in the Sugar Bowl just weeks ago as a source of SEC pride are gleefully shoveling preemptive dirt on their grave now. Rough crowd, but I guess all families are this way.
