Nah, if the information is true. The pressure will be too much for them to just sweep it under the rug. Not happening in today's world.

I mean, he lied. Everyone knows he's a liar. I doubt anything comes of this because he wins.

Pretty much this. Shame, b/c he covered for that guy (or at best looked the other way) for a long time. In today's age the media may turn on him. Only way anything beyond a couple of game suspension happens.

There is a big difference about what you lie about and how clear it is

I don't think he gets fired if everything is true. I do think there is some type of suspension though, just to please some people.

He does, but after scandals at PSU and MSU, and the rampant metoo movement, OSU's hand just may be forced on this one by the conference. You just know Jim Delany is fit to be tied that he's got another major scandal on his hands.

If Urban gets the boot (he won't), the Buckeyes have to hire Schiano, right? I mean, the media and OSU fans assured us he was pure as the driven snow and more than qualified for the Tennessee job.

Eh, Petrino was probably gone after he lied to the AD either way. I agree with your overall point though.

Possibly, but the official university press release cited the potential civil lawsuit over his preferential treatment of an employee he was having a sexual relationship with.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. He should have and was fired in big reason for that. Jeff Long was not going to be ok with the head coach lying to him even if there wasn't a lawsuit IMO.

As I said, I agree with your overall point. It is why I believe at worst he is going to get a suspension unless something more damning comes out.

Everyone said you were wrong because y'all thought Schiano was a shitty coach and pretended to care about his history to keep him from becoming HC.

Noticed with all the college and NFL openings after last season Schiano didn't get a sniff. My gosh...Herm Edwards who had never been a college head coach even got a job as a college HC.

we all know women never lie, or change their minds, so we have to accept and act upon allegations? what was he supposed to do? she was the one that should report to the police. make it official, then he is obligated to take action.

It's called victim's syndrome, dickwad. She was, no doubt, afraid of what the repercussions of reporting it would result in from her piece of shite husband. If you can't understand that, you need help.

And I guess Urban's own wife was making up shite?? Concerned for no reason? frick you, a-hole.

I see in the near future that Urban will have heart and health issues forcing him to retire for 1 season until he can get hired at an ACC school.

Yes and then she was asked if Shelly ever confirmed that she told Urban and she never said if she did or didn't.

Ole Urb's problem is going to be lying about not knowing about the abuse, if indeed that is proven. It is the lying and/or cover-up that gets people in trouble.

As long as he is winning Ohio St will do nothing to him, slap him on the wrist and say "naughty boy, don't do that anymore."

When it comes to such a fishbowl position as a football coach, you can't lie about anything. You admit to spitting on the street, jaywalking and not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign if it is ever brought up.

After the abuse scandals we've seen at Universities, specifically in the Big 10, have these institutions not put in place proper channels and communicated expectations that all allegations of abuse be reported?

Big 10 is evil. Straight up evil.
