Not really.

Congrats on the 4 loss season (only guessing since that is the average since 2013)

Since you need me to explain it to you...
We have a new coach. Aubun just gave their coach a brand spanking new $49 Million dollar contract after he averaged 5 losses per year since 2013.

And since you decided to get into this game, I might add that LSU averages right at 4 losses since 2013, too.
Difference here is...LSU doesn't have a SEC Championship to point at in that time frame.

LSU does average 4 losses in that time frame....Georgia does not.

Let me guess. You are not a math major?

Since 2013 Georgia has lost 13 games. That is 3.25
Since 2013, LSU has lost 16 games. That is 4.0.

Now where do we go from here?

After we whip their asses, we might not end the year with any ranked teams on the schedule

This is a rather stupid thread. If Georgia only plays one ranked team, Bama in the SEC championship game, that is the only one that matters.

Okay. I see where the disconnect is.

Since 2013, means after 2013.

Well since we have been talking about how bad the SEC East has been the last 5 years we probably look at strength of schedule and and see if the .75 difference is due to UGA playing an easier schedule over that time frame.

LSU consistently plays a top 10 SOS every year due to playing in the SEC West. Only last year did UGA have a better SOS, mainly due to their two playoff games and SECC game. UGA ranked #33 and #40 in 2015 and 2016, respectively, and averaged 4 losses those 2 years.

Also, since this started by stating Auburn would lose 4 games this year since that historically what they have averaged the last 4 years, you could also assume UGA won’t win a Natty this year since that hasn’t happened in 30 years.

Just as a side note, Auburn finished with the toughest SOS in both 2014 and 2017. A lot of different choices of where this could go I guess.

Last 10 years their SOS has been in the top ten 5 times.

Love how you cherry picked the lowest 2 SOS
years the last 10 seasons...we finished in the top 15 SOS five of the last 10 years. Not as tough as LSU's but
not near as bad as you portrayed.

I wasn’t cherry picking seasons. The conversation was specifically discussing losses the last 4 seasons. I just noted that LSU has played a more difficult strength of schedule the last 4 seasons while UGA has played in a down SEC East, and that could have contributed to LSU losing .75 more games per year.

LSU’s strength of schedule has been ranked 7, 5, 4, and 27 during that period, while UGA’s has been ranked 14, 33, 40, and 7.

All of this to say, you have take SOS into consideration when comparing wins and losses over any given time period. I don’t think any Auburn fan would argue that Malzahn has lost some frustratingly stupid games during his tenure. But he has also played against 28 ranked opponents since he was hired in 2013 (with a 12-16 record) and played 9 games against teams that made the BCS or Playoff. SOS has been 3, 1, 7, 15, 1 since he arrived.

That just skews the losses a little higher than they might be if he played in the SEC East during that time. Especially since Gus has never lost to an East team not named UGA. He would probably average more 2 or 3 loss seasons playing in the East and maybe the narrative would be slightly different for Gus.

So you're saying that a team losing two games isn't making the playoff? Bold prediction

Why is that bold prediction? You should know better! This is the SEC! If Missouri can win the east 2 times in a short time being in the SEC east, Then anything can happen to Georgia this year and any given year.

Buttsniffers are gay. We play them before bama so we will bend them over by double digits same as last year.

Their only hope against us is after the iron bowl. We will remind them they are our bitch in Athens with ease. Not sure if we will be up 40-10 and dancing on the field like last year in the regular season, but we will put them away relatively early.

You do the math! West is tougher than the East. If flip teams in the division then what would you say?

Auburn has lost six straight games in Georgia to the Dawgs. Why are you so confident 2018 will be different?

Because we are better and pissed.

Check my posts leading up to last years game. I guaranteed a double digit beatdown about a dozen times starting 2 weeks before the game. Guaranteed it would not be close.

I didnt talk shite b4 the SECCG.

This year will be the same. We will beat y'alls arse in Athens. Then lose the SECCG if we play again in Atl.
