They are one of the top 4 teams in the country. Good luck to both our SEC teams!

I'm not positive that that's true but they definitely deserved a spot over OSU. No team that gets blown out of unranked Iowa deserves to be in the playoffs.

Much respect for the Tide.
And I agree, they are much better than the Buckeyes.

Still BS that a team that sits home yet again gets into the playoffs while others lose their hopes putting it all on the line in the conference championship. A$$ backwards. If you are on the bubble, don't play in you conference championship and you'll be fine.

If a 1 loss team was going, probably should have been Wisky since they play 13 games and lost 1.

They have fewer top wins than UCF and were second in division

I disagree. They aren’t even top 4 in their own conference. They got lucky against LSU and Miss. state

LSU needs to beat them for a change before I can complain. I thibk Bama can go all the way, which is why the committee did the right thing.

Anyone who watched that awful display of Big 10 football last night could see the disparity in talent between Bama and both OSU and Wisconsin. Throw in the Iowa beat down on OSU and an at home loss to Oklahoma where they were outclassed and it was elementary except to the most jaundiced of eyes.

Bama lost one game on the road to their most bitter rival Auburn who limped into the sec championship and lost to Georgia who they had shellacked just weeks before.

It was an easy thing to see even to this LSU fan that loathes Bama.

I’m still iffy on if we are in the top 4, but the committee had no choice if they used the same line of logic last year to get Ohio State in.

No Melt here, saw this coming a mile away. Bama is better team than Ohio State which would get trucked by Clemson. Bama will likely get beat they will not get embarrassed

For the first 8 weeks, yes. The last month, no.

If you line up Ohio St and Bama today on a neutral field, I think the Buckeyes win. In October, Bama wins.

Bama looked very pedestrian against MSU and Auburn.

While I agree, they "probably" are one of the top 4 the issue I take with it (and felt exactly the same way about them letting in OSU last year) is that there is no reason to play conference championship games anymore.

Had there been no conference championship games this weekend both Wisconsin (who went undefeated and I don't care which conference you are playing in. Going undefeated is a hard thing to do) and Auburn got screwed by playing in their conference championship game yet OSU did not get rewarded for WINNING theirs.

Look at Auburns record prior to the SECCG. They dominated 2 teams that are currently in the playoffs and barely lost to a third one. They very well could be one of the top 4 teams but because they had to play a rematch against a good team they already beat, they are now left out.

What of Wisconsin had won yesterday. They would be in. But would anyone change their minds thinking that Bama was actually the better team just because they beat OSU?

Is Bama better than OSU this year? We can't know that because they never played. Sure OSU has a bad loss. But sometimes bad teams just match up against good teams well for various reasons. Does anyone believe that Ole Miss was the better team the two years they beat Bama? No. That was just about bad matchups. Ole Miss was strong in the spots that Bama was weak so they managed to pull those games out of their arse.

This is the problem of a 4 team playoff. Deserving teams are going to be left out.
