I think it might be the wrong time to get rid of Sumlin. With at least two other SEC programs (probably more) seeking a coach, the competition will make for a tough hiring process and you could easily end up with nothing better than what you have now.
Insert LSU coach joke here and you would be right in doing so.

Even Chad Morris as a fallback option is MUCH better than what we have now for half the cost. He developed BEN HICKS into a competent quarterback and turned around SMU from the mess that June Jones left.
Not only that, but there's a specific A&M exit clause in his contract (that's why Baylor couldn't hire him last year because he refused to sign without an A&M out clause).
