As an Aggie I loved seeing Clemson win

Clemson has never been a blue blood program. For most of my lifetime it has been an average program that really wasn't a national consideration.
No front running college football fan ever said "college football is better when Clemson is good" like they do with Michigan or USC or Texas. The media didn't treat them as elite, and for the most part they were locked out of the highest recruiting caste that defines the potential of programs.
And yet Dabo overcame all of that, and took this once mediocre program and turned it into a dynasty.
Clemson winning a second title is a proof that almost any program with enough resources and the right coach can become a powerhouse. Clemson winning last night was the best evidence we have seen that the "sleeping giant" theory tied to Texas A&M might not just be a pipe dream.
If they can do it anyone can, and for that I loved seeing Clemson win.
Go Tigers!

Dabo just may turn into one of those generational coaches. I thought Clemson would be a flash in the pan, but Dabo has proven me wrong. He just may be the whole package as a coach: 10/10 on recruiting and 10/10 on coaching.

Clemson all the way. Hell of a win.

Unfortunately for you it is. Some programs just don't have it.
Also your road is much tougher than Clemson's. Not only you have to deal with the SEC West but with Texas and OU looking much better than A&M (and bigger brands) you are still an also ran in your own State. OU isn't in Texas but mostly gets its players from Texas so they belong in the argument.
Yes Jimbo is recruiting well but so did Sumlin. He left behind a pretty decent roster.

frick seeing the same teams win all the time, Bama or anyone else.
This sport is easily the most frontrunning major sport and it frankly sucks.
I would love to see more parity, I would love to see more programs rise like Clemson did.

No argument the road is more clearly open for a program like Clemson. State recruiting battles are ongoing even outside tu, OU and A&M but Sumlin never had a top 3 class

SEC West is on a pretty obvious decline aside from A&M

I agree with this. The SEC has become boring with Bama dominating so much. Early 2000's with Florida, Auburn, LSU, UGA, Bama taking turns at greatness was way more entertaining. Even teams like Arkansas fieldeing at times pretty strong teams.

The other example to look at is Florida. They have no conference titles prior to 1991 (one in 1984 was stripped by the NCAA). They had some good teams, and as the state and school grew, you figured they had to get it going at some point, but never really got over the hump until they hired the right coach. People of a certain age may think of them as a blue blood now, but that's not their history at all.
Nothing is written in stone in college football. There are a more than a handful of programs that can reach the top, and there's no program that is perpetually guaranteed to stay there.

Yes things are looking pretty bad. LSU finishing #6 in the final ranking and a class that is about to surpass A&M's should just close the shop.
